I see this everywhere! I am a big fan of the biggest loser ( cried every time I watched it )
and I love Jillian.
Have any of you used it, and if so, did you see major results?
Not just in weight, but in confidence? Is it much easier for you to work out now then it was in the beginning?

Im on the last day tomorrow and I loved it.
It was really hard in the begining but got easier, I still do some of the modyfied moves, but I see a big difference in the mirror and how my clothes fit.
I will be measuring and taking pics tomorrow!
I can also do alot more than I could when I started. I couldnt even do one girl push up, now I can do 10-12 regular ones before my arms get wobbly. lol
Im also way more flexable and balanced then when I started too!!!0 -
Yes, I am still doing it. I have been for almost a month now but I had to take about a week off due to getting a really bad sinus infection/cold. Took pics. Huge difference. If I knew how to put pics in here I'd show you how it got rid of my back fat.0

back fat is THE WORST!
well hopefully somebody will comment on how to post pictures so you both can show me the results!
I will be ordering it tonight. I can't wait!
congrats on your results ladies!
What do you guys eat?0 -
I'm on Day 4 of Level 2; and I've got to say that I've seen fantastic results. I'll post photos if you'd like.0

I've sent you a friend request, so you can see my food diary and pics..probably easier that way anyway.0 -
Has anyone done the 30 Day Shred AND the Ripped in 30? Any opinions on which one is better or more beneficial? I'm considering buying one or the other, and can't make up my mind. Help! :flowerforyou:0
-
yes please post photos!
and I heard they are both cheap videos, 10$...so splurge for both!0 -
Yeah, it's not a matter of money, I just wanna know which one works best or whether the results are similar. Why pay twice as much if you can accomplish the same result with one?0
-
I think the first video is to get your body used to the workouts, and the second video is for vigorous exercise for a more professional athlete than a beginner.0

I am also a huge fan of both Jillian and the show. I an 8 days in the shred and love it. It's challenging for sure. I saw a thread earlier on which people liked better ripped or shred I can't remember where but maybe if you search for it. I may do ripped in 30 after this one. Have to see first. But i recommend it!0

Ripped in 30 has 4 levels and a higher intensity I think.
Her dvds are AWESOME
I'm really loving alternating No More Trouble Zones (all strength) and Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism (all cardio)
Those two were designed to be used together and well worth it.
I'm doing a little Jillian Michaels cocktail this month
Last week I was doing 30day shred (all levels) and alternating with 6week, 6pack
This week is the NMTZ and BFBM
Next week I'll be doing both levels of Yoga Meltdown all week and alternating Ripped in 30 with Killer Buns & Thighs
Then the week of the 17th alternating Kickbox Fast Fix (all levels) and 6week, 6pack (both levels)
June 24th-30th LvL1 of Shed & Shred
Following week LvL2 of Shed & Shred
I don't have any of the Biggest Loser dvds or the Jillian Michaels for Beginners. I still want shed it with weights but other than that I have all her dvds. OH wait, I don't have the Body Revolution program but I do have the Rip60 Program
Any questions or wanna see the feedback, feel friend to Friend me haha0 -
I did the shred and it killed my knees, but I sure do notice a difference. I've been dieting hardcore, but I think the videos helped to tone up my flab!!
I have a few others, I'm gonna start tomorrow. Almost done with shred0 -
i will post these pics in any thread i can to motivate someone to try 30DS! i saw amazing results within a couple months. its about 25 minutes and fits perfectly into the schedule of a full time working mom. Plus i had never felt sexier, or more fit and toned in my life. I did the shred multiple times, modifying it each time - first round following the easy moves, second round following the harder moves, third round upping the weights, etc.
Pregnant again with #2 right now, but i plan on doing it all over again after she's born!

If you're a Jillian beginner, start with the 30 Day Shred. Ripped in 30 is harder, IMO.0

Thanks for the feedback! It sounds like it would be best to start out with the 30 Day Shred and if I wanna progress, I can check out the Ripped in 30 (or other videos mentioned).0

Ditto to all of this! Can't wait to remeasure tomorrow and see what the difference is - I can tell the difference in my work pants for sure
I am a bit sick of Jillian right now though. I want to do RI30 next, but I may need a week or so break before diving back into another JM program!0 -
I did the Shred last July and I loved the results I got, they're in my profile if you want to have a look. I did Ripped in 30 straight after and it's alot tougher than the 30ds, not sure if I would have been able to get through it if I hadn't done the 30ds first.

I'm on Day 8 of 30 Day Shred. It is HARD but I can really feel the difference- I don't see a difference yet but it's amazing how quickly my body has adjusted. I went from having to take 5-10 second breaks several times to being able to do the whole thing- barely, but I can do it. And I end it feeling good and strong now, whereas the first few days I was out of breath, wheezing, sweating buckets, and shaking. I also went from being able to do 3 or 4 modified push-ups to 15+. The only problem is my knees and shins are realllllly starting to hurt :-/
Also, I found the videos on YouTube- there are TONS of JM videos on there so you might not need to buy the DVDs.0 -
I'm on day 8 of level 1 of the 30 day shred and I love it so far! The first 3 days were the toughest...but once you push through the soreness it is so worth it. It's only been 8 days and I already notice a difference in my endurance and how my clothes fit. I haven't measured since Day 1, but I know I have lost inches. I'm really diggin' it!0

Thanks for that. The reason I'm waffling is because I've been doing a bootcamp-style circuit training class twice a week now for about 3 months, and was worried that with 30 Day Shred, I wouldn't be challenged enough. I think though, from the results I've seen, that it would be plenty challenging, don't you think?0 -
I started the 30 day shred yesterday, and was just wandering what would be best to log it under on here? Also, im used to working out for an hr on the treadmill, i feel kinda guilty as to im not doing enough when i do just 20 minutes...help!0

Wow! Thanks for sharing... you look amazing!0 -
I did 30ds and lost around 16 inches from various places. At the beginning I struggled with some of it and had to take a few seconds break here and there. Also my knees hurt! The first three days are the worst then it's quite surprising how fast you notice a difference in what you're able to do.
I did ripped in 30 after and lost less inch wise but that may be because I'd already lost a fair few doing the shred. I found ripped in 30 a bit more interesting and it's only a week per level rather than ten days so you don't get quite so bored.
I do think for beginners that the shred is a great starting point and still challenging if you've not been doing much exercise like I hadn't.
I didn't lose weight doing either of these which was frustrating but I was pleased with the inch loss.
Good luck with it, hope it brings you great results!0 -

I used a hrm but the nearest match I found was circuit training which worked out similar on cals.0 -
I'm almost half-way done with level 1 of 30DS and I love it. I'm fairly fit but looking to tone, so it's not incredibly difficult. It's fun and has some fairly challenging stuff in there. It's helping my running a lot though because it's helping my core and other muscles that don't get built up through running. I can tell that my form is improving, which helps to decrease my chance of injury. It's definitely worth it, no matter the reason you want to start!0
-
I did day 1 level 1 today and it was rough! but i am looking forward to the day when i don't feel like such a wuss!0
-
I just finished day seven of level one and it's TOUGH.
I was doing some weights on my own before I started the
program and thank god I did, because the arms are the hardest
part of the DVD. I sweat and have to push hard to finish the
level without a break but it's do-able and I didn't find I was too
sore after the workout (other than a real tightness in my calves).
I'd recommend it because it's high intensity for not a lot of time
put in (it's only about 20 mins). Make sure you take before and
after's if you do it because I've heard from some people that they
lost a lot of inches but not a lot of weight so the scale might not
be the best way to measure your progress.0 -
I did day 6 of 30ds today. I am doing this as a challenge on another forum here, but I am also keeping up my regular routine too. So I run 4 to 5 times a week, have swim aerobics class 3 days a week, do a little strength training and extra swimming a couple times a week as well. Did anyone else add this in as an "extra", or do they count it as their workout/replace old routine?0
-
Quick Question, Do you do the video in consecutive days. Like Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Friday. Or do you break it down and do just cardio a few days a week ?
Not sure if I can do Consecutive days.0
