Oh wow,,, it's been years.
I've been on my job almost 10 years now, and I've reached what I call "the point of terminal competence". I do a complicated wierd engineering piece, designing stuff and then weaving the work through a byzantine system of rules and laws and procedures. For the first 5 years I spent half my time trying to figure out just what to do next - what's the next step... Now I pretty much always know what to do next, and I just do it - no troubles, no problems, no worries.
I do occasionally have design ideas and answers to problems come to me in dreams, and I might wake up and have to go scribble something down before I lose it - but that's not worry, that's good stuff.
When was the last time you broke an exercise machine? (I broke my elliptical this am, and I'm a little pissy about it :grumble: ).0 -
hmm I haven't broke when but I get really pissed when I go to the gym and one IS broken, and doesn't have a sign, and I get on it and try to get it to start like an idiot sometimes with ppl staring. Grr. hate that:grumble:

today funnily enough as i have been soooo ill recently i lost nearly two stone in a month and someone asked me what i weighed as they couldn't believe how much i lost. Not the way i wanted to lose but getting better every day!!!!
