How about deep fried butter (Saw it on Oprah) The dish is made with frozen balls of whipped butter -- each about the size of a golf ball -- which are then covered in dough and deep fried. They can be injected with flavor, sprinkled with sugar -- or enjoyed in their natural, artery-clogging statewith a melted fudge dipping sauce. 780 calories without the sauce.

I had the dulce de leche caramel cheesecake with whipped cream sprinkled with nuts from the Cheesecake factory:bigsmile: . The website said 1079 calories but I'm thinking that calorie count didn't include the sprinkle of nuts and the whipped topping.

Oh and I looove Carrabas Pasta Carraba with a mound of extra parmesian cheese sprinkled on top. That got to be a good 2500

And is it no wonder Americans are so overweight. This program has been an eye opening experience even for one that has been 'cutting back' for a couple years and 'thinking' they were eating healthy and less food. Even splitting meals with the wife is not enough. There is just SO MUCH calories in most dine out dishes these days.

so true. I went for months "eating healthy" (before finding MFP) ... really thought I didn't need to count cals(only had about 30 lbs to lose..) , but when the weight was not coming off I found MFP, started logging and realized I needed to completely re-program myself. I was eating WAY too many cals, and just way too mjuch in general.. portion size and cals cut in HALF, 35 lbs later....

i honeslty dunno how I didn't put on more weight when I was eating the way I did previously... I mean one dinner out ANYwhere(even if I chose "failry healthy") was @ least 2000 cals... then add the rest of the day's meals?? yowza. i give my bod some credit for not packin on more than the 30 extra.

dude i am totally the same. i ate a lot of high cal foods. or i binged on the lower cal ones and still went way over. when i started on here, i would still have days where i was way over 2000 calories. it took a while for me to retrain my appetite.
