What are your weight loss goals and what are you doing to reach them?
I will go first:
I am 312.6 lbs and my goal is to be 180 lbs. What I am doing to reach this goal is making sure I reach my minimum caloric intake suggested to me. I have a problem getting enough calories during the day which is just as bad as getting too many. I am also walking for a minimum of 40 min a day which I have gone over on the time every single walk :-). I have also stopped eatinf after seven o'clock and make sure that I drink lots of water which has never been a problem for me just now I'm more conscious of how much I intake.
Let's all be encouraged and let's all be happy that we are actively changing :-).
Peace and Grace to all.

Pretty much the same thing. I started around 300 lbs and I'm down around 230 atm. Would like to get to 180.
I go to gym as often as I can sometimes 6 days a week I make sure I do strength training at least 3 days a week and limit my calories to a deficit of about 500-1300 a day and make sure I take all my supplements and protein. It's been working so far.0 -
Hello. I am currently 212lbs and I would like to be 150 but realistically I would be happy with 160. I also am walking 40 mins a day and trying to not eat after 7 pm while meeting my caloric intake. It is kind of hard eating 3 times a day lol. Over the next few weeks I will be incorporating more fruits and vegetables into my diet yay! I wish everyone the best on their health journey.0

That's awesome Belial . How long have you been on your regime? What kind of foods do you eat?0
-
Started at 230, if I can get to 150 I'll be thrilled. 130 would be a dream! We'll see!
I'm counting calories and exercising 6 days a week. I typically do a combo of treadmill, elliptical and weights for one hour!0 -
Hehe Lady I walk w you. I am also increasing fruits and vegetables. Lol and your pickles. Can't beat all the pickles you can eat for no caloric increase haha. Not eating after seven is extremely hard. Especially when you aren't home until almost then which is my case. And when you are running after two kids all day which is yours. But we will persevere. ,-)
Good Luck everyone.
* craving captain crunch, but instead I shall sleep haha *0 -
Started at 365, at 194 and aiming for 120 - 145 pounds. I was crazy strict for a year. Exercised an hour and a half a day for a while there and ensured a defecit AT ALL COSTS. I've totally mellowed out now but still keep a balanced diet and regular exercise. I'll get there eventually.0
-
Keky that's totally awesome if you continue to do what you are doing there is no doubt that you'll hit 130 :-). I'm thinking about adding leg weights to my walks in a week.
Ms. Jess you will definitely get there you are doing fantastically and look fantastic. You're truly an inspiration. :-)0 -
I started at 240, am now 213. I just go by mini-goals, and the first is get down to 200 by the end of July, hopefully 185-190 by Halloween.0

I'm just curious why you don't eat after 7? As long as you are staying under your calorie goal, it doesn't matter at all what time you eat. I'm just thinking that you shouldn't make it more difficult by setting unnecessary rules for yourself.0 -
Trying to go from 185 to 125/120. Just exercising more and eating less!0
-
to get my BMI to 20. i'm close, maybe 8 or 9 more lbs.0

hey im mark...started at 223 and want to get to 170...maybe 160 weill see .... currently 182 and still trucking, i indoor bike and walk almost every day and watch my food intake and have started to just eat as many whole foods as i can...lift weights about 3 days a week. This last leg of the journey will be tough but im focused and happy so far so ill keep it up.
I agree eat when you want just dont go over your limits and if your going to go over try and make it protein that you over eat as its hardest to convert to fat
I wish you best of luck and you will thank yourself in the end0 -

Personally, I have found that setting strict goals in the beginning work very well...because the main thing overweight/obese people need is DISCIPLINE! THEN as they move forward in THEIR Program, they will/may adjust it. When someone is doing WELL in THEIR Program, don't give them yours!!! Someone did that to Me and believe it or not it took Me 11 year to get back where I was before they made THEIR Suggestion.
If YOU are doing good on YOUR Plan, go forward! Forget the "GURUS."0 -
I'm 161 lbs (started at 191.8lbs) and my original goal was 150 lbs (which I would be happy with) but if I can start losing again (been at a plateau) I would like to be at 140lbs.0

I am at 215 today down 4# in the past week since I started journaling. I ride the recumbent bike for 20 minutes 3 times a week. I had 3 surgeries last year on my R knee.so walking is a problem but the bike is OK. I have been on this journey for nearly a year when I was 250#. Lost 20# before all my surgeries and at one point was down to 205 after a bad drug reaction. Last surgery was in October and after I felt better my appetite increased and and each month I have been gaining. It stops now. I am a mini goal setter so my first goal is 200#. I can do this. I am a weight watcher doing it myself.0

Started out at 285...down to 190...want to get to 160...so just trying to get those last 30 off!! I go to the gym 5-6 days a week, run 3 days a week, and get 3 days of weight training in. I keep within my calorie goals that MFP lays out for me...and seems to be doing the trick. Good luck to you as well...we are all in this together!! :-)0

First goal: <165lbs which will put me at a healthy BMI
Second goal: 150-155 lbs
Last goal: 150-155 lbs with 17-19% body fat
Slowly but steadily losing fat and strength training to help prevent muscle loss (keeping my BF% low). It's a long road, but I'll get there.0 -

Woah! I wasn't trying to give you my program, at all. They're are just a lot of myths out there about eating late. Anyway, glad you are doing well, and good luck!0 -
I am 255. I was 298 when I started. I weight goal is 165.0

My highest weight was around 275, I am currently 190.8 and would love to be 155-160. I walk 5-6 times a week, I love to walk! I am also currently doing the JM 30 Day Shred.0

I'm almost 37 years old and 5'7"... I'm about 173 lbs right now and I consider myself a runner. My ultimate weight goal is 150 lbs, at which point I'll be about 20% body fat. But I am trying to balance losing fat with running well this race season. I have a 10mile (16km) race next weekend that gains 4100' in elevation so I'm spending 2 weeks eating at my maintenance level so I'm all fueled up for this ~3 hour endeavor. After that I'll go back to a deficit to hopefully drop some more pounds before my half marathon in August. Starting in September I'm going to pick up the weights and get stronger. I want to do a Spartan Race and Tough Mudder next spring/summer.
My goal is to roll into my 40's in the best shape of my life.0 -
Those are wonderful goals and changes!
I am 205 lbs and my goal is to be 130 lbs but with this in mind if I have wonderful muscle increase then I will be happy at 140-150 also. So my first goal is 55 lb. My changes are... Using my calorie, fat, protein, ect chart as my goal guideline. My problem also was that I didnt eat enough. Also, I set myself a reasonable goal of working out/ walking 3 days a week for 30 minutes each day. I think that with my 2 yr old I can manage at least this and have so far. At the gym its 1 day cardio next day weights, ect. I feel so good after I workout. Thank you for sharing your story and I hope you enjoy your weekend. Keep up the awesome work! :happy:0 -
Started at 183, down to 173 now and goal is 158 (the weight i was when I met my fiance 6 years ago) although once I get to 158 I may put a little further to get to 150.
I'm sticking to 1200 calories a day and exercising 4-6 times a week doing Wii Biggest Loser, Wii Boxing and lots of walking.0 -
I'm 5'7", started at 190, currently at 181 and aiming for 140! Eating around 1450 a day and burning 300 in exercise (sometimes/sometimes not eating up my exercise calories).0
-
I am 5'5 and started at 115kg (253lb) and am now at 104.6ish kgs (231lb)
My goal is 80kg (175lb)
The main exercise I do is walking, I aim to walk 40 minutes around 3 - 4 times a week. I am currently eating 1700 calories a day minimum. I lose around a pound to pound and a half a week (give or take)0 -
Started at almost 500 lbs. I never got an exact number. The doctor's scale had me in the 480's but even that wasn't accurate since it wasn't designed to go past 350 lbs. They needed to use counter weights and that can skew numbers. According to him I should be 180-190 for some of my height, 6'3 but I think it's too low. I am aiming for 200-220 some where in that range. Sitting at 311 right now.0

I am 5'11" and started at 301 last week. Today is my weekly weigh in and down 3 pounds. My goal is to reach between 170-181, which places me at a healthy BMI. Someone here on the board recommended the zig-zag method, which for my first week has helped me drop a few pounds. I have increased my water intake slowly. I have not reached 64 oz. or more per day but I am getting there. I also eat 6 times a day, and walk leisurely every day. Most important, I make sure that I get no less than 8 hours of sleep. I enjoy cooking so I prepare most of my meals here at home. I wish you all well on your weight loss journey. :happy:0

I'm 5'5" and I started at 245 on MFP. I went with 1,200 calories that MFP set and my goal is 130. So far, 92 lbs are gone, exercise started at 0 and is up to at least 60 minutes a day. My goal is 130 and that hasn't changed.
I look at food differently now--I suppose I have developed new habits over the past 295 days. The scales at the moment are at a solid 153 pounds and the weight is coming off very slowly. I'm encouraged in that I have consistently hit a plateau and have not had the scales "tell" me the weight is coming back, so I just know that once I reach 130, I'll be there for good.
I started at at tight 24 and now am at a loose 10 and ladies that includes suit jackets too. This is the most amazing thing I have ever done for myself, and that includes raising 4 elementary school children and going to college, graduating in 3 1/2 years magna cum laude. My children cannot have been more supportive of my journey as is my husband. Paying attention to food at this stage in my life has given my children (who are all grown up now) the encouragement to pay attention to the foods they are eating while they are in their 20's and maybe just maybe they won't have to deal with obesity the way I did and the way their father has.
Another by-product, my husband has lost 33 lbs only changing his eating habits over the past 4 months.0 -
I'm 5ft6.5 & started at 196, and my first goal is 157 :-) I will finally have a 'normal' BMI then! After I've hit that I want to get down to about 140. But we'll see. I was about 12 when I was last at 140 so I have no idea what I'd look like now! :laugh:0
