We have 3 dogs and I think their names suit them - took a while to make the choices.
Mastweiler: Mast'r Dudley (we googled "names for english mastiffs and rottweilers")
Black Lab: Deuce (because of his color and his 'wicked too-smart' personality)
Bichon/Toy Poodle: Skeeters (because he's always buzzing around like a mosquito - and when a puppy would always hang off my big dog's neck)

We currently have two: A border collie mix named Lady, and a Black Lab/Rottweiler mix named Jewel. Dogs that are no longer with us but still missed and thought of with love and fondness are a Yellow lab mix named Sandie, a Boxer mix named Honey, and a mix breed named Mindy (my first dog). Congrats on the new (furry) edition to your family... I think there has been at least 1 dog in our house ever since I was 5... they are amazing!

My dog's name was Cinder (due to her coloration) and my sisters dog who lives with me is Tessa!

Cinder was a St. Bernard/Saymoa and Tessa is a pure-bred Black Lab

Well long story short...we got a Lab/Golden mix 5 yrs ago. My SO wanted a funny name..she ended up as Noodles and yes it does put a smile on everyone's face. Two years later we adopted an Akita and were stuck on a name that sorta went with Noodles until my boss suggested Ramen...so we have Ramen (boy) and Noodles (girl).

Molly - 12 yr old yellow lab
Max - 6 year old shih tzu
Maddy - 2 year old French brittany

Never again will I give all my dogs names starting with the same letter! It's just like kids - I call them all the wrong name half the time!

My pom is named Chewbacca ~ Chewie for short.

LOL! When I read this quickly it looked like it said "My PORN name"... Then when I saw Chewbacca I laughed even harder!

I have an English bulldog named Scouser. Sounds like Scowzer when you say it!

I have Brier, a german shepherd lab mix (Best dog EVER!) Alibi is a red heeler mix (yes, she does live up to her name!), and Piper, a black lab border collie mix. My past dogs were named Relic, Tie, Memphis, Kariya, Chance, Shorts and Budweiser. Some cute names my friends have named their dogs is Struedel for a dachsund and Taxi. Hilarious to hear someone yelling 'Taxi' at the dog park.

I don't have a dog (I like dogs from a distance, i.e. other people's pets, but don't want one of my own) but the best dog name I've heard was Deefer. As in Deefer Dog ("D for dog") lol very cute :)
