Hi all,

I know this is probably asked all the time, but I want your opinion. On Monday, I start work as a camp counselor. I was wondering what you all would consider my activity level then. My job consists of me walking across a school campus to different activities, participating in sports, and a lot of standing. I was thinking of changing my activity level to Active since I'm only on Lightly Active right now. What do you all think? Is that accurate of me to do?

Thanks!!

How many days a week? I'd say active, I remember going to camp as a teenager and I always came back slim and buff.

5 days usually from 8:30 am until 3:40; about 3 days a week where I am there until 6 pm.
  • Definitely Active. Hope you have fun!

I'd say active too, maybe invest in a pedometer to know just how much walking you do.
  • I love my pedometer, I wear it every day. You'd be surprised how much (or little!) you walk in a day.

I would get a fitbit! It's a little on the pricey side at $100, but totally worth it! I have had mine for several weeks and I love it. For me, it is cool to see how active I am on my active days, and how sedentary I am on other days. You can link it with your MFP account, and it will give you extra calories if you are more active than it expects you to be. I am sedentary here on MFP, and today I have like 400 extra calories from moving around today!
