I just finished baking these. Devoured one with cup of skim milk...yummy. My son who isn't even dieting said these are better than the real thing. Thanks for the recipe!

I just joined MFP this week and have found so many recipes I'd like to try.

Has anyone substituted for the 1/4 cup of sugar in this recipe? I'd love to know what you used and how much of it and most of all, how did these muffins taste with the sugar substitution?

    Hoping to make these today.

I used Equal and they were fantastic!

I just made these last night but:
-added four or six (can't remember which!) scoops of chocolate protein powder
-skipped the applesauce because I didn't have any
    -used agave instead of sugar
-added a fair bit of cinnamon

They came out great and even the OH liked them. Made a great mid-morning snack and I think particularly with the added protein, are quite filling.

    Thanks for sharing!

I made these last night and they were WONDERFUL! I used unsweetened applesauce and added cinnamon (about 1/2 tsp). I also used quick oats instead of old fashioned. I am going to make another batch this weekend and try subbing out the sugar for stevia.

  • I was just looking for a banana muffin recipe! I, too, was a little tired of the tasteless recipes. As soon as I get the cinnamon apple sauce I will be trying yours. I will repost and let you know what I think. Thank you for posting!
