I LOVE cheese and I also LOVE Cabot's 50% or 75% reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese (they even come in snack size)!! I use it for my salads, mac-n-cheese, as a snack....everything!! :) I'm also a fan of Sargento's Thin Sliced Reduced Fat Swiss!! :)

ummm the advantage of the system is a budget....so have less of something else?

Or consider portioned cheese e.g. cheese slices so you have a measured amount.

I am the same with Chocolate. So I don't have it at all.....

For sliced, I'm a big fan of Sargento. For shredded 2%, either Kraft, Sargento or the store brand works. And I totally agree with you on non-fat cheese, it's like eating plastic!

Yeah, I total agree with this reply. I am also a cheese freak. But I know I can only go but so far!!

I adore almond cheese. Lisanatti makes a great pepper jack and it's only 50 cals for a pretty big chunk plus no trans or sat fats!

I LOVE cheese....but again it's high fat and you shouldn't have a lot.

I tend to combat this by picking high quality hard cheese or crumbly cheeses (less fat) and I try to pick things with a STRONG taste profile. I love Hard cheddars, old cheese, smoked gouda.

That way the small amounts I allow myself go further and satisfy me longer.

Why are people talking about cheese like its bad? You're making my cheese feel bad about itself and thats just not cool.

I eat regular cheese slices on top of my eggs daily for breakfast. Then eat some more cheese if I'm cooking Italian or sometimes with raw fruit. Don't think of cheese as bad and going low-fat cheese tastes horrible and plus they gotta add crap to make it decent tasting.

Portion control. Sargento is a decent brand for mass production. I buy some feta cheese regularly from my local farmers market and use it on salads to make it greek salad

BTW, try good parmessan cheese. The taste is a bit more intense allowing you to use less of it compared to other cheeses. So if a dish asks for 3 tbsp of cheese, you can get away using 2tbsp of parmessan because of its intense taste

I've switched to Swiss! It's the best cheese I've found
that tastes good, melts well, and is much lower in sodium!

 Oh cheese, how I miss you

Actually I do occassionally eat small portions of halloumi, edam, half fat cheddar and mini baby bel. I would much rather be eating full fat mature cheddar, brie, stilton ... I could go on

If you love cheese, eat it. Just don't eat a lot of it at one time.

We eat eat quite a bit of string cheese to keeps the portions small and the cheese fresh. Babybel is also good, or Laughing Cow.

Don't give up cheese. Just give up overly processed fake cheese, like chezwhiz, or that powder stuff on doritos that had been milk at one time, long ago.

i literally scoop a measuring cup into the bag and measure it so i know how much i'm eating. if you document it and don't go over cal then you should be fine. although sometimes i take a handful when cooking...okay maybe more than sometimes!
