    I'm in southwestern Oklahoma, seems I missed the cut off by about 50 miles ;)

    Was born in Oklahoma...now live in Southern California...still have my accent. Yes we Okies are southern

    I'm not originally from Oklahoma, but I live here now and have always been confused if Okies are southern or mid-western. It's like we're caught in the middle and not accepted by either!

    I am from the south- moved to the north 2 years ago and I miss the south!! Lived in GA the majority of my life, but have also lived in FL, TN, KY and AL.

    It isn't SEC country, so I don't consider NORTH Carolina to be part of the south ;)

    Well...I don't consider South Florida to be the south b/c they're all a bunch of retired Canadians, but you included them on your list.

    Agreed- South Florida should definitely NOT be included! I can't ever imagine someone from Miami being considered "southern" haha!

    By south I mean TX, LA, AR, KY, TN, MS, AL, GA, and FL. Just curious if we have any southerners on here...

    :) technically VA, DC, NC, SC, and MD count too since they're south of the Mason-Dixon line that separates the northern states from the southern states.

    To be correct the Southern states are listed as Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. I've lived in a few but now I'm in Arizona.

    Ya'll, I thought this thread meant from the locational south, not football south.
    I was born in NC, lived here all my life except for a brief period in ALbany, GA.
    I am by far a "Southerner" by all definitions, except college football i guess. I'm NOT a 'tarheel' though.
