    I have numerous anecdotes for this sort of situation... too boring to detail, but try reciting your favourite spinach recipe/table polishing tip/how to get stains out of white linen ... lord I'm feeling too negative myself!

    Most people just want to b%$#h. Sometimes making them come up with their own solution is polite but does the job.
