Low Calorie Wine?

Anyone know of any good low calorie wines? I like Seven Deadly Zins Red Zinfandel but realized a 6 oz glass has about 150 calories in it. I also like White Zinfandel, Riesling, and would love to try anything new.

I've yet to find a super low calorie wine. I prefer reds. I usually get Shiraz from Yellow Tail. It has 120cal for a six oz glass.

    THIS WINE IS DA BOMB!!

I usually drink it either with ice so it lasts longer, or a wine spritzer with wine and club soda.

Champagne is also very low in calories and sugar, and very refreshing!
  • I love wine. I need to try this. Thank you!

A large part of the problem is that the calories are actually in the alcohol - lower alcohol wines can therefore help. In Australia, Lindemans have an 'Early Harvest' range which is lower alcohol.

Skinny girl is VERY deceiving! All of the 33-40 calories per serving are a 1.5 oz serving. By the time you pour a 5-6 oz glass you are drinking MORE calories than most wine and light beers! The only reason I'll drink a skinny girl marg is b/c a real marg has like 400 cals and then it is worth it

Oh...and there is really NO low cal wine. 100-130cals per 5oz pour. The joy is that we don't chug wine like we might beer and such so I can make it last longer...SOMETIMES! ;)

Holy Christ, this actually offends me. Just drink a glass of decent wine. Good lord, people, it's WINE. What is it, like 75 calories in a normal glass? Oh, the horror....THE HORROR.

I work out so I can drink fermented grape juice.
  • Ooh nice finds! I have just accepted that I'm drinking the calories, and it is worth it. Nothing better than guiltlessly enjoying my wine. Some people eat chocolate or ice cream for treats, I choose a nice White. :)

There is a wine out of Indiana (yes, we grow grapes too!) that is called Slender Wine. I think there is around 130 calories to a glass, but no carbs. I believe it is the only carb-free wine on the market. Here is the link...

I do love a nice quality red wine, might have a couple of glasses during the week, around 300 calories and I work it in with the diary, works for me!

New Zealand Oyster Bay Merlot, Yum Yum!!

Be careful about the info on this site. I got excited to see that in general White Zin has only 80 calories a glass (according to the link). I did some research and that is nowhere near true, unless your idea of a glass is 3 ounces. Yeah right!!

I will still enjoy but be careful as bottles don't have calorie counts so websites like this can be deceiving.

yeah its about 20 calories an ounce....so if you have 4 ounces, yeah it will be 80 calories,I onthe other hand like about 6 or 8 ounces!!!! hahahaha:laugh:
