2 Pounds and half an inch up... feeling angry.

It started when I had a big binge last weekend. I was up 2 pounds the day after, and it has not gone back down really. It drops then goes back up again. I started at the gym, the day after that binge, going straight into running on the treadmill and the elliptical, plus some kettlebells... only done that for 5-6 days. Before that, I was cycling for an hour to two hours a day.
I do not know if the change in exercise could account for the weight sticking where it is or the increase in my butt size, but in the past, my weight always dropped back down within days and stayed down. I do not know if this increase in my size is from the exercise, or from having a little more crap than I usually have, or if it is a catch up from the few binges I had.
I am so frustrated and upset, as to me, that half inch is a lot to add in less than a month, and for it to come from a few Ibs weight gain. I thought working out is supposed to shrink you, not increase you, and even water retention from the change in workout, surely couldn't affect your measurements ?

Depending on where your half an inch of gain is, it could be that you are just bloated and it will take time to let your body go back to normal. Water retention does account for many things and if you ate things that were super salty then it just may take longer for your body to return to pre-binge you.0

Binge was a week ago. My waist has stayed the same size, it has gone onto my butt. I am sure 4-5 sessions on the elliptical and treadmill can't cause that, so it can only be down to the food I eat, I am guessing.0
