Nothing will ever top Eraserhead for strange.
Motel Hell and From Hell it Came are classics as well

Two of my favorite strange movies: Being John Malkovich, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The absolute weirdest movie I ever saw was Zardoz (1974). Starring Sean Connery in thigh-high go-go boots and a bright red codpiece, with a gun; I kid you not. Google it. There's also a huge floating stone head.

I haven't read the whole thread...did anyone mention Trigger happy? AKA Mad Dog Time. It's my favorite movie, and is kinda strange.

"Wings of Desire" Like many German films, fantastically weird.

Two angels and the late great Peter Falk fly over Berlin listening in on Berliners' thoughts.

RUBBER. It's a movie about a tire that kills people. You heard me right -- A TIRE.

The weirdest one I can remember is Clifford that starred Martin Short as a eight or ten year old boy. Strange!
