Sweets seems to be a big problem for a lot of us, so I'd like to propose a 1 week sweets-free challenge.

Includes: Cake, cookies, pie, 100 calorie sweets packs, chocolate bars, candy, etc.

Does NOT include: Cereal, a bit of sugar in your coffee (if you really need it), hidden sugars in foods.

This is purely about the sweets and desserts.

From now until Tuesday, November 10th.

At the end of the week, you can choose to continue on, or you can treat yourself to something at that point. So who's up for a week with no sweet treats?

I did this myself and I had great success! I lost 4 pounds in a week, and now I don't eat sweets much at all because 1. I don't crave them near as much (yeah, after just a week cravings pretty much vanish) and 2. I've seen the results without them - and they're good!!

I just wanted to say that for those who think it's intimidating, it is, but it's really worth it. I learned a lot from it.. (as silly as it sounds, but it works!) Good luck to everyone doing this!

Oh, wow, well shoot! I had been doing pretty well at that before the H word last saturday. It will truly be a challenge to get back to it, especially with that stuff still hanging around the house. On a good note though, I won't be trying to figure out how to have dinner and a snack with less than 150 calories left in my bank!! Okay, I'll do it, as long as I can still have my fruit, I know I can do it, and maybe start losing again too!

I tried to quit cold turkey, and just knowing I could never have it again sent me into mental and emotional spirals. I figure I can do ANYthing for a week...and then I'll take it from there. It'll be a good boost for our self-esteems to make it through a week without the sweet poison.

So, how's everyone doing? I had a good day- no sweets. Was very tempted when I was at Wal-Mart, but knowing that I'm only committed for 1 week helped a lot.

Ive had a good day! I was craving sweet this morning so I got a healthy 150 calories fruit smoothie which totally curbed my craving :)

This totally slipped my mind last night and I had lots of calories left, so I put a tablespoon of nutella in my fruit smoothie :blushing: I did great the rest of the day though, and today has been good too.
