Question about protien shakes..

I am taking a Kickboxing class at 8pm and get done around 9 and home by 9:15 pm. Is that too late to take a protien shake? Or should I take it before as dinner? I always feel so hungry after taking that class.. Any advice is appreciated!

    best to take it after the training and before bed wont matter

    You're hungry because you depleted most of your muscle glycogen stores as well as muscle tissue wanting to be repaired. I typically take a milk protein isolate shake before training which will continuously feed muscles for up to 7 hours. Though, I do eat a meal following the workout so that protein shake prior usually has about 15g of protein which is less than half the amount I typically would consume otherwise.
