Hi and welcome. Congratulations for making the choice of a healthy lifestyle - it is so worth it! I lost 153 pounds, maintained it for 2 years, then I lost my focus - regained 40 and now am on round 2.
We can do this! One day, one step, one choice at a time!

I also have over 100 pounds to lose. My head really isn't in the game, but my sister told me about this site. It has been a week and I have lost 8 pounds. I take one day on at a time and worry about tomorrow when it gets here. This site does make you think about what you eat and my shopping cart looks nothing like it use to. Together we all can do this!0

Welcome I just joined a few weeks ago myself,already lost 7 pounds .i started my diet on jan 1st , i was 438 lbs been doing it on my own but it's tough im 373 now shooting for another 100 +++ always remember Instead of giving yourself reasons why you can't, give yourself reasons why you can.it's a long road Never, never, never, give up.Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality. just remember a strong positive attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug.0

I started out on May 21 at 258 needing to lose 113 pounds to get to my goal weight of 145. I have an under active thyroid so I knew this was going to be a long journey. I now weigh 237. Less than 1 month later. I eat tons of food, and the weight is just falling off. I only have 92 more pounds to go but would love to be your friend. And anyone else that would like another friend. By the way I don't exercise hardly at all. My food diary is open if you would like to see what I eat.0

Hi! I'm new here too. I've been doing Weight Watchers for a couple of years and I'm just burned out with it. The meetings, the points, etc, etc. I thought I'd try something different. I also have 100+lbs to lose and can use every bit of motivation I can get. Feel free to add me as a friend. One quick question, when I did the profile thing, it set my calories to approx 1500 a day. That seems like a lot to me. Did I do something wrong or does that sound about right to you all who have been here awhile? Thanks!0

Hello all, newbie here from Pittsburgh. I am 28 years old and been using MFP for a little over two weeks. I have been on my weight loss journey seriously since March 2011, I started out doing Weight Watchers which I love, but, due to financial reasons had to stop for now. I did well and lost 20lbs by Nov 2011 but due to a family tragedy I gained it all back and was 5lbs over my original starting weight of 310. Since April I have lost 10lbs total and even accomplished my goal of participating in a 5k. My longterm goal is to be able to be 200lbs or under. I have no set time frame for this, but, I am very serious about this journey because one of my biggest goals/dreams in life is to be an active mother and do all I can to have a healthy and active family when God blesses me with one.

1500 a day seems right. Rememberhere they make you count lettuce and celery and things that were "free" in weightwatcher so the calories do add up. Im new too. need buddies!0

I've lost 112 pounds .
This program works!
Challenge yourself with a goal marker, for example I gave myself 7 months to loose 100 pounds
(Idid not make it it took 8 months) but when I waiver I told myself , hey, it's only 7 months I can weight 7 months to eat that fating thing I wanted. this made me able to stay on track. You can do anything for 7 months! Right!

I have 102lb's more pounds to go. I am planning to lose 127lbs all together and so far I have lost 25lbs. This site and app are really helpfull before I eat anything I check the calories and I measure and count everything including chips. Doing those things has helped me with discipline and the results has helped with motivation.0

Hello, I'm brand new to this site too. Not sure how much help I can be to others but I know I can benefit from some people support myself as I need to lose over 100 lbs. when all is said and done. I weight 271 lbs. in Janurary of this year and through counting my calorie intake and slowly walking more I've been able to lose about 25 lbs so I am on my way. Hoping I can reach my goal by this time next year. I'm pretty determined at this point. We'll see how it goes with this program.0

Wow...I have not logged on here in a while! I am pleased to say that I truly changed my lifestyle in March 2013 and since then have lost 70.5 pounds...since signing up with this website I have lost 81 pounds. This can be done guys!!!!
