shoes or no shoes while working out at home?

No shoes, particularly when lifting weights. I find my feet grip the bare floor better, if that makes sense.0

No shoes. I do sometimes wear them on the stationary bike though.0

shoes are must, they stabilize you when your doing exercise , especially when your doing dead lift and squats0

I don't wear shoes when I work out at home. I am more comfortable that way.0

thanx for all the responses guys, its nice to get others point of view.0

No shoes for me. Even with 30 DS and an exercise bike at home0

Only workouts I've done shoeless is yoga and TaeBo back in the day. I do find that balance is better without the shoes. But most of my current workouts, other than yoga, have enough jumping and higher impact moves in them that I prefer to wear shoes.0

I have been working out on and off for years at home and I have never worn shoes. At first it was because my feet felt too heavy with gym shoes. Now, it's just the way I have to do it.0

I don't like shoes and don't usually wear them if I don't have to. If I'm not at work I'm usually either barefoot or wearing flip flops. When I was doing workout videos I always did them barefoot (P90X and Insanity and a few others). I was wearing regular running shoes for running but I'm transitioning to Vibram Five Fingers now. I do Stronglifts 5x5 at home and I wear my VFFs because I do it on my back porch which is wood and I don't want to get a splinter in the bottom of my foot.0

No shoes. I find that I do better with no shoes on. Plus I'm trying to stay quiet for the sake of my neighbors downstairs. Sometimes I wish no one lived beneath me.
This is the same for me. I'm too worried about bothering the neighbors with my big stompy shoes! Barefoot unless I'm outside.0 -
no shoes for me! i wake up and put on some shorts or just exercise in a sports bra and undies (i don't have a gym membership so it's all good in my own apartment). i barely wear shoes/socks unless i'm out of my home. socks bother me even when it's cold. :ohwell:0

No shoes. My house is quite old, so the floors and walls are thin. Footsteps feel like earthquakes; but without shoes, it's not so bad.0

I've been doing the 30 Day Shred and tried wearing shoes. It was a no go. For me, I believe barefoot is best. It feels better and shoes just made my feet slip. I only wear shoes when I am on the treadmill. However, I will wear shoes when I start lifting heavy weights.0

Shoes unless I'm doing yoga. I need the traction and support. I've had some scary slips when I'm moving really fast on my carpet. Plus I started having issues with my achilles tendon when i was doing any type of plyometric moves without sneakers. I wasn't landing solid with jump lunges and that almost took me out of circulation for awhile.0

I don't like wearing shoes in general so I definitely don't wear them while working out. I workout at home so it doesn't really matter if
I'm barefoot.0 -
I don't wear my shoes when I'm working out at home. I feel more comfortable without them on and I find that it's easier to move.0

No shoes. Better balance, plus less risk of injury from misstep.
Even at the gym I wear VFFs.
Stupid shoe culture.
Naked feet unite!
VFFs?0 -
Nope. I hate shoes. I've actually started a barefoot revolution in my Zumba class. :-)
ETA: To clarify, I LOVE shoes. I just hate actually wearing them. :-)0
