How do you have your protein shake?

Do you mix yours with water or milk?

Run out of milk so had to have mine with water today. Doesn't taste anywhere near as nice. :(

    With water, I find it's quite nice still.

    It does taste slightly nicer / more like a milkshake, when mixed with milk - but that will involve using and washing up the blender, and that's a hassle! (I hate washing up that thing!)

    I have natural protein powder and mix it with chocolate soymilk.

    Milk! Sometimes straight milk, sometimes milk + milk powder + water (less fat that way)
    I do add a little extra water with my milk though cause I like how it makes the shake more frothy!

    I mix mine with half Unsweetened Almond milk and half water and a tbsp of pistachio sugar free pudding mix. Heavenly.

    I use 1 c. skim milk, 1 tsp. instant coffee, and 1 scoop of chocolate powder. Yum!

    Mine is similar, as long as it is early in the day, I do 1 packet Starbucks Via, 1/2 cup milk, 1 scoop of chocolate or vanilla powder, then fill to the top with ice and water.

    For the evening, I like a 1/2 banana, 1 scoop chocolate powder, 1/2 C milk.

    one half of a banana
    whole milk
    two tbs of ovaltine
    one or two scoops of whey protein powder either flavorless or vanilla
    tbs of vanilla extract

    yumyumyum

    usually comes to about 200 something calories

    recently i have been drinking black coffee with whey protein powder, and ovaltine :D sometimes skim milk.

    My bf's friend made him one with ONLY whey and water. :sick:

    I had to laugh because he said it was gross. I put yummy stuff in his when I make them.

    I have one every day in the mid-morning, just a shot (1 scoop in ~6 oz of water).

    At home I'll sometimes mix it with fat free milk, or make what I call The Deluxe - milk, banana, and peanut butter. I let my macro count for the day dictate it.

    if i'm on the go, water.

    if i need a few extra calories for the day i use milk. i also use milk if i'm making a smoothie (chocolate whey, milk, peanut butter). today i put a little chocolate whey in my coffee and it was divine. can't wait to try it in iced coffee.

    What does the xanthum gum do? Texture?
