I've posted about this before but I'm going to post it again. Every time I do cardio my ear gets plugged and I'm really hoping someone has some suggestions on how to prevent it from happening. It's getting to the point where it is such an annoyance that as soon as it plugs I just want to quit my workout. Anyone have any ideas?

Go to your physician and have them flush your ear.. it could be wax build up. If not, they should be able to tell you what the real issue is.

Another option to try is chewing gum if your ears aren't waxed up. Might help.

You can try clearing you ears by putting 2/3 tiny drops of olive oil in your ears each day
i put the drops on a warm teaspoon before putting them in
if they are still really bad after a few days you will need them syringed my doctors wont syringe unitl i have put the drops in for a few days anyhow so its worth a try

according to my doc its often because we dont chew enough things like meat and chunky bread etc these days

I know that olive oil is a common home remedy for blocked ears but something about it just seems weird to me.

I would recommend going to your doctor or ENT specialist rather than risk something possibly going wrong from a common home remedy.

Yeah the using of olive oil or mineral oil (thats what we use on my son) if dor when the ear wax is dry and hard, Not like normal ear wax. It can cause severe pain like having an ear infection and effect your equilibriam (sp) just like and ear infection would. we keep mineral and a medicine dropper on hand always. My son has tons of problems with his ear with dry wax. The mineral oil/olive oil was also reccomended by his pediatrcian.

You can also get a wax removal kit at the pharmacy if you want - but the dropper they include actually contains mineral oil to soften the wax. The nice thing though is the kits usually contain a bulb syringe as well to clear any wax.
