NSV!!! I WON!

So, I never win ANYTHING, ever. I participated in a 10-week Active For Life challenge at my work, which is sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Basically, you set a weekly goal of physical activity minutes and I also set a weight loss goal. You log your activity minutes for each week, and I also kept track of my weight on a weekly basis.

Today, I got a phone call from our team captain. I was the week 10 winner! I won a weighted jump rope and a drawstring backpack. Sweet :)

On a side note - back in April when this started, I set a goal to reach 165 by the end of the campaign (June 24). Today, When I stepped on the scale - I was 164.8. Goal met and exceeded :)

Today is a GREAT day!

    Awesome work. Congratulations. The prize is cool but of course the real prize is being more healthy and felling better about yourself. Way to go.

    Non Scale Victory.

    Like last night my wife said "You're not fluffy anymore." Those honestly are the real success stories and the scale is just a tool to help you reach those. A smaller waist line is way more important than a smaller number on the scale.

    LOL! Love that approach! I told my husband I was doing this for my health, but he had thebenefit of enjoying the improved packaging my health came in! :tongue:
