lately I've been picking up reduced sodium chicken at the deli counter. wrapped up in a low carb wheat tortilla....with 2% swiss, new york deli mustard (emeril), and spinach. Usually I warm it up in the microwave or "grill" it with some olive oil spray in a pan.

I always have to eat chips with my sandwiches too. I don't enjoy them nearly as much without chips on the side.

Okay I love this because this is how my daughter says this word. makes me smile

I stick with PBJ (or sub out the J for H or AB)

I've been suffering from migraines so I've been avoiding deli meat.

I like my sammich with a minimum of two.....oh sorry...

Err.. I like fried egg sammiches, British Army staple nicknamed "the egg banjo", due to the action needed when you drip yolk down your front.

    Me too! Yummy.

I make turkey, bacon, mustard, pickles and swiss with mustard on the grill pan for my husband who is not watching his calories and for me- low fat provolone, tomato, roasted peppers, and red onion on a whole wheat ciabatta roll.

If health and calories meant nothing: A classic Reuben

My favorite from Mona Lisa Deli in Little Italy: Caprese - Italian roll with fresh tomato and basil and fresh mozarella, a little pesto and oil and vinegar.

Favorite home-made: liverwurst and sliced gherkin pickles on rye.

Have you tried nitrite free lunch meat? I'm a frequent flier on the migraine express and if I get lunch meat w/o nitrates it doesn't bother me.

Hormel makes some, but I'm sure there are others.

I don't do cold sammiches. Always grilled or pressed. But I loathe mustard so I won't be putting any if that on anyone's sammiches. You want it,... You add it. And if any hits your plate - you wash it.

my ultimate favorite sammich ever and I might just have to make this soon now. yummmm.
    grilled eggplant
    spinach
    a few slices of panchetta
and a generous hunk of fresh mozzarella
foccacia bread sprayed with a little olive oil and pressed

I make a sandwich with sandwich thins, mustard, and a couple slices of hard salami. I use so little salami it doesn't add too many calories, but it certainly gives me a lot of flavor!
