How much weight you lose in 2 months?

I'm 5'10
180lbs.
How much weight can I lose in 2 months? 20lbs?
By the way, I don't plan on losing 20lbs. More like getting down to 170 and going up to 200s of muscle mass.

I just hit my 60 day mark and have lost 10.5 pounds.
I don't think they recommend losing more than 2 lbs. per week, with healthy diet and exercise.

    5 - 10pounds seems more likely.
doesn't look like you have much to lose.
  • I lost 10 lbs in two months and 5 lbs one week of intense exercise and a 1800 calorie limit. This was from March - May and lost 5 lbs this month. I slacked for two weeks so I don't know my current status!

The rate at which you lose weight will vary greatly depending on your body's reaction to diet and exercise. As an example: being 5'10 you probably won't have lots of pounds to lose compared to someone who is 5'5 and the same weight, however you can lose a lot of inches and become more fit/muscular without dropping a large number of pounds. A healthy weight loss is typically around 1/2 lb- 1lb a week. If you are doing strength training you can change your physique faster than just dropping a significant amount of weight. I would think more in terms of reducing body fat rather than pounds if you are going for muscles!

It really depends on the individual, but I'm 5'0", female and I've been on here for about 2 months and lost 7 lb (went from 132 to 125). I think because you're bigger you can expect to lose more than that in 2 months
  • Thanks for your help guys :!
  • I just started to diet and exercise as well and lost 3 pounds in one week. Really healthy eating abd 45 min workouts.
