Muscle weight???

I have been busting my butt for 90 days straight plus. I heard the extra 10 pounds is muscle weight. Oddly, the last time I killed myself working out, I lost a bunch of weight, which is why I started running again and biking and now starting roller blading. I'm getting a great variety. I don't have time to work out roung the clock. I want the weight off. I don't want muscle weight. I'm getting frustrated and angry that I'm getting fat again. I will start drastic measures soon if I keep gaining. If I stop eating, I'll stop gaining.
I've tried doing this the right way and it's not working.
Tell me how to get the muscle weight to stop building and to get that stupid 10 pounds off. Please!!!!!!!!!!

Trust when I say that "drastic" measures will usually cause drastic regain of weight once you reached goal and try to eat normal.

I lost 63 pounds last year. I took a break from working out and gained 15 pounds. My fault I know. But it was so easy last time I lost weight that I am getting so mad today. Every time I try to loose 10 pounds this year, I can't. By this time after running 5 miles a day or riding the bike for 20 miles twice in a weekend or hiking for 3 hours on the sand dunes, I should have dropped something.0
-
What did you do to lose the 63lbs?

have you tried measuring (waist, thigh, hip circumference) rather than weighing yourself? If you are building muscle, fat may be diminishing and you are slimming down- it is just not visible on the scale.0

Like someone else said - you WON'T be building muscle on a calorie deficit
It's not muscle I'm afraid0 -
How did you came up with that muscle weight? If you're feeling fat then what you have is definitely fat & not muscle. Because when it is muscle weight, you're body will feel tighter, more toned & less fat. Plus its nearly impossible to gain muscle when you're on a deficit & all those running, roller blading etc. won't make you build muscle either, those are endurance workouts.
EDIT: And judging by your profile pic, frankly speaking you don't look that toned either so definitely its fat. Just be more patient, its usually the last 10 pounds of fat that are very hard to lose.0 -
OP you really need to log everything you eat and drink, to be really sure that you are on a deficit.
Log absolutely everything, ensure you are at a deficit and if nothing shifts after two weeks, you need to recap.0 -
running, mini trampoline, eating lots of fish and veggies. Some thing I'm doing now.0

Yes and there's no reason to be up instead of down.0 -

Cardio doesn't build muscle, it builds endurance.
In fact, Cardio will usually burn muscle along with the fat0 -
So why isn't the weight coming off? I got 5 pounds off and this morning it's back.0
-
When you say you "lost 5 pounds and this morning it's back", are you saying you did a workout yesterday, lost 5 pounds as a result of this workout and then were back to your normal weight the next day? Or are you saying that over the course of a couple of weeks you lost 5 pounds, then all of a sudden you gained 5 pounds overnight?0

You can't gain 5 lbs of anything in a day, so that will be water. Or you lost 5 lbs through dehydration before. Weight isn't a fixed thing, it fluctuates constantly. Just keep doing as you are and if you burn more than you eat, eventually the weight will come off.0 -

If you cannot build muscle whilst in a calorie defecit then how come I can lift weights today that I could not lift two months ago? I must have some very strong fat.0 -

Strength and building muscle are two different things.
Building muscle(aka new muscle tissue) does not happen in a deficit unless you are obese or new strength training. and then those results end after a bit.
Strength is gained because you are progressively overloading the muscle and thus making it able to do more then it was able to do before.0 -
Your muscles become more efficient0

Thanks for explaining that. I'm new to strength training. I was sure my guns had got bigger!0 -

This. I'm sorry but your diary is horrible. For the last week you've logged maybe 1-2 things. And if that is all you are truly eating there's a problem right there. You need to be true to yourself and your body and log everything to be accountable. Until you do this you can't be sufficiently helped with your issue.0 -
Please don't get mad because I don't understand. I am just confused by some of the posts on here. I am set at a deficit. I have lost 21 pounds while doing a mix of cardio and weight lifting. If I can't build muscle at a deficit then how come I can see the muscles in my arm that were not there before? I use to flex and it felt like marshmallow. I can see the muscle now and feel it.0

You see the muscle due to lowering of body fat.
You also got rid of the fat, and now have primarily muscle.. instead of fat and muscle.
If you were building new muscle tissue, then you would be gaining fat along with the muscle.. but since you have lost 21 pounds, there is no way you are building new muscle tissue.0 -

Thanks! Although there are a ton of articles all over the web saying this is incorrect and some saying it is correct. So who knows. Guess I will ask my doctor on my next visit and see what he says.0 -

I don't eat. If I take in less than 500 calories and work out a lot, I loose weight. If I eat normally, I gain. If I eart normally, I will gain 5 pounds a day and be 200 pounds by the end of the month. I won't do it. It's driving me crazy and the first thought I have every morning is "I shoud have thrown up last night". No one hears me saying this is driving me crazy. I'm so afraid of getting fat again that I will and can and have given serious thought to becoming anorexic...hence I'm begging for help. I'm sick of the morning torture of trying on things that fit 3 days ago and feeling how tight they've gotten so quickly.0 -

Sounds like you need some professional help if you are thinking about becoming anorexic and throwing up food.
There is no way in hell though that you can gain 5 pounds a day. A pound equates to 3500 calories.. so unless you eat 17,500 calories extra in food and drink every day, you will not gain 5 pounds a day.
Weight fluctuates.. and what you are doing to your body is not healthy.

You need to see a physician and not seek advice from an Internet forum. If you are at the point considering anorexia you have crossed a threshold that no one here is qualified enough to help you with. Good luck to you and I hope you do seek professional help.0

I know that everyone is different but I have been eating very clean around 2,000 calories and lifting, limited cardio lately. I just want to put on muscle weight and maybe have put on a pound of it in the past few weeks. Muscle weight is very hard to put on and it takes a long time.
I looked at your diary and it's bad. You aren't logging everything.0 -

Also, there are groups for eating disorders from people who have/had them on this site. Used in conjunction with therapy, community is helpful.

Rubbish
Easy just to say rubbish without backing up your claim
Here's why cadio can often burn muscle...
Your body transfers into a state of mass catabolism just to maintain energy output levels. It has burnt through the energy assigned for standard exercise and now needs an external outlet to keep the ball rolling. The body begins to feed off its own muscle cells as a key source of energy.0
