DELICIOUS,0 -
small handful (~1cup) of frozen berries
handful of fresh greens (spinach, kale, micro greens, whatever you've got)
scoop of whey protein
scoop of powdered greens (spirulina, algaes, wheat & barley grass, etc)
1+ Tablespoon extra-virgin coconut oil!!!
Water to cover (or a healthy juice, like Bolthouse Farms Green Goddess with water)
I use my smoothies as a way to get my vitamins/supplements, too; so I add MSM, flax seed (freshly ground) and probiotic.
I credit Coconut Oil for helping me turn my life around! I was eating pretty healthy and working out often (in addition to teaching exercise classes in the evening) and still wasn't losing weight until I started eating more raw foods and including coconut oil in my diet. I think it was the "missing puzzle piece" my metabolism needed (I wasn't getting enough healthy fat; and C.O. is used almost immediately for fuel) - since then, I've gotten certified as a nutritionist and pass this recipe on to all my clients, with much success!0 -
WOW, I'm going to try every single one.
THANKS EVERYONE!!0 -
I scoop whey protein powder (chocolate of course -
), 4 ounces 1% milk, 4 ounces of vanilla almond milk or the almond/coconut milk blend, half a banana, and about a TBS of PB.

My favorite - I have this at least 4 times a week, and usually more:
- 1 cup of almond or rice or coconut milk
- 1.5 scoops of IsoFlex protein powder (chocolate)
- 1/2 cup of oatmeal
- 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries
- 1/2 a banana
- 2 ice cubes
- 5gr each: creatine, BCAA, Glutamine
I cannot get enough of this shake.
I use to put almond butter in - 1 tablespoon. It was awesome, but I just couldn't get used to how many calories it added.0 -

saw a great suggestion online the other day. Haven't tried it yet, but if you're looking to watch the calories or don't want to use milk they suggested using tea. Brew flavored teas, any flavor, and use it instead of just plain water. You could apply the coffee ice cube trick to tea also.0
