Hi :) I'm on Day 6 of Level 1 of the 30 Day Shred, and I've begun to lose a few pounds already (w/ a calorie deficit) and I see diff. in inches around my thighs/tummy .

I love 30-day shred and Ripped in 30, but I also mix up my workouts, so I can't say that those DVDs alone help. I can't do a DVD every single day, so I also do Zumba, and switch up the DVDs at least, so I don't get bored.
  • I've completed her Ripped in 30, and am currently on level 2 of the 30 Day Shred. i have definitely toned up, you don't see a lot of pounds lost at first, you gain a lot of muscle. it's a great workout, but don't be fooled, it's not easy by any means. But i enjoy doing it every day.

I always read about people doing the 30 day shred but what is it? Anyone have a website with information on it or something?

I've been on a journey to lose about 30 pounds and I have had great success with Jillian's videos. I give her a lot of props for my success. I have done 30DS, Ripped in 30 and just recently finished 6 week 6 pack. I have lost about 6-10 pound each video and a heck of a lot of inches. I have stuck with them religiously as well as a healthy diet and cardio in addition. Definitely worth the effort. I'm gonna do her kettle ball Dvd next

its a workout combo (i.e. circuit training) of cardio, strength training and abs. Something like 3 mins strength training, 2 mins cardio, 1 mins abs. It's only 20 mins long, then a 5 min cool down period but it's gotten really good reviews. It's split into 3 levels, each one harder than the one before. You're supposed to do each level in about 10 days or more. You can download it on 4shared.com or buy the DVD.

You can find it on You Tube, or you can just go buy it. My copy was $6 new. It's old so it's not expensive. But it works!!

I'm doing Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones DVD (2x per week). I run on the treadmill/track when I'm not rocking the DVD. It's only been a couple of weeks but my clothes are starting to fit better. The scale isn't budging, but I have no complaints. Inches lost are way better in my opinion.

i have the biggest winner set. i found it at a yardsale for $10. It is killer but I have already noticed a change. Its only a half hour but by the end, i am drenched and the next morning, i have to slide out of bed instead of sitting up! I'll let you know in a few weeks how the results are!

I'm currently on day 7 of 30 day shred and every once in a while when I feel REALLY crazy I will also do her extreme shed and shred or killer buns and thighs. :) I've lost 15 pounds since starting both of them! I love Jillian

I am on day 7 of 30 day shred, even though i have only lost 2lb i have lost 1/2 inch of my thighs.

Only 20 mins but hard doesn't get any easier the longer you do it either ( not for me anyway)

I am hoping some weight loss will kick in soon.:ohwell:

and i have been using tins of beans as had no wieghts ( got some today) :blushing:

so hopefully should make it a bit harder with heavier wieghts. ( though why i want it harder i am not sure)

I started the 30 day shred last week - I lost four pounds; however, I also added cardio every other day last week. I did not do the shred everyday. I did three days of it and took a day off. So six days of shred and five days of cardio = 4 pound loss.

The 20 mins with Jillian on the first day was rough, the second day I could barely move, and the third day I was SORE. I had to put cardio in there just to keep my muscles stretched and moving. She is intense and has no mercy. Also if you are really over weight (which I am) some fo the exercises are a little rough on the joints in the beginning.

I have JM's 30 Day Shred. It's tough but I love it. Tried it a couple months back and had to stop after day 7 or so due to hip injury, but started it up again Saturday. It may be all in my mind but I swear I already am starting to see improvement in my body shape LOL. And I remember about when I quite last time, I was seeing a difference in my face/neck, like I said, could just all be in my mind. Not so much improvement on the scale though.

I'm currently on Day 8 of Level 2 of the 30DS and I can totally see a difference, but I also do some extra ab and strength training for about half an hour immediately after I complete the work out, but it is totally worth it :) Even though I'm on Day 8 (I usually do it every day but have had a rest day each week) and feel that my endurance is much better, Jillian still works you hard lol. Don't be fooled that it is only 25 mins, no resting (or about a 10 second rest), but after I'm done I feel sooooo kick *kitten*

I love JM! My favorites are 30DS, Ripped in 30 (just did that one and loved it!), Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones. I think the 30DS is a good place to start. I also checked out amazon and went through all the reviews to get an idea of how people liked them and how they were.

I did all 30 days of the 30DS (in a row) and I lost over 10lbs and went down a pants size. IT WORKS!
A good one to graduate to after you finish 30DS is Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. I also like No More Trouble Zones.

I'm currently on day 5 of Level 2 of the 30DS (been doing it 5-6 days per week.) In conjunction with maintaining a 500 - 600 calorie deficit, I've lost about 7 lbs in 3 weeks.

I wish I had taken measurements at the start - I can definitely feel the changes in my body, but don't have any hard evidence.

I love the JM DVDs. I have 30DS and Killer Buns and Thighs. I also have Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism but there's more jumping in the one than I like! I am currently on level 2 of the 30DS and it's great!
