Can you please post a pic of your hair and tell me what you use? I too have pink hair but people always think it's red so I'm wondering what other brands/shades look like!

I currently use manic panic in hot hot pink

    once it started growing out, i bleached it.

    oh, i use splat hair dye.

    i also tried punky colour by jerome russell, but i didn't like it as much. it bled a lot and washed out fast.

    I used to have pink hair with a platinum layer on top (back in 99) It was a PITA to keep up (especially with the blonde. I used to have to separate it to wash it, so it would not bleed.

    I used atomic pink for a while, and I think it was a clear wella product to cellophane over it..can't remember it was so long ago.

    When I was in beauty school and high school I changed my color alot. I have been dying it a silver grey or super beige blonde off and on for the past few years.

    This was mine when it was a little more red then pink, I didn't take pics of it when it faded into a dull hot pink :(

    I have had many shades of hair color. One of the best brands for a true, very long lasting pink is "Special Effects". Also good are "Punky Color by Jeremy Russel" from Ulta.

    This isn't me, but my best friend; her hair looked amazing. We had to bleach it twice, then use Manic Panic.

    This is from about two weeks ago, it's fading into lighter shades now. I use 1:1 ratio of 'N Rage Purple Plum and Crimson Red. It starts off deep purple and eventually fades to a rosy pink after 3 or 4 weeks

    oh yeah, and mine is done on top of brown on top of growing out bleached. does that make sense? i bleached it for 2 years, then grew it out about 3 months, then did light brown, then thought that was ugly and went purple/pink. Still shows up pretty well!

    These are old. But Im pretty sure I used the Hot Topic brand

    As you can see my hair grows super fast and I almost always had roots showing so I gave up dying it.

    I used to have pink hair, well highlights. I will check the store and let you know what I used then. It was supposed to be like yours or a darker maroon type color, but this is how it looked.

    Now that I see how I looked then....I sort of want to highlight my hair pink when it grows out lol I wanted to grow out my natural color, so I wouldn't want to dye it all pink, but highlights would be nice. I have really pink lips, so I think it makes them look less weird, more awesome. Lol

    I don't have colored hair anymore, but in high school when I straightened it, it was every color of the rainbow.
    I used Special FX. Lasted longer than Manic Panic.

    I've used pink fetish by Splat in the past, just as highlights. They have almost grown out so I'm going to try the lusty lavender next. I also love the names that splat uses for the colors.

    :love: Awesome!! LOVE IT! I put the bubble gum pink (also manic panic) in my hair but it didnt even show...lame...:grumble:

    Pravana is a good line, they have magenta & cotton candy pink. It lasts longer aswell.

    I wanted to dye my hair a dark red and had a major blonde moment(:laugh:) by bleaching my hair before putting the dye in. Came out massively pink. It's in my pictures if anyone wants to look. I'm at work and can't link it. Everyone at work loved it but it took me forever to get used to it. By the time I did it had faded to orange/red/pink/white in places and I just redyed it a couple of days ago. I don't remember the name brand but it was a cheap box of hair dye from wal-mart. Haha.

    I have wanted to go all dark pink forever but am worried it will ruin my blonde hair :( does it fade out or grow out? Any natural blondes with experience?

    i dunno about natural blonde but it didn't ruin my bleached blonde. UNTIL i did the pink and then bleached over it. now i have pink burned into my hair, it's been 9 months and it's still there :tongue:
