What are your favorite drinks?

I have plans to have a drink with a guy tonight. He intimidates me (in all the good ways).... Normally I drink Smirnoff Ice or something similar, but I think tonight calls for something new. I need a drink that's not too girly (ie Cosmopolitan), not too butch (ie Budweiser), not too pretentious (ie Your finest Merlot).

I need a drink that's sweet, fruity, and not complicated. Just like me. :)

    Vodka tonic with lime for the lady.

    Classic rum & coke, always a good one - works with the guys, but isn't butch in my opinion!
    Bud light lime - girl beer, but still beer. Happy medium.
    Palm Bay - just freakin' delicious. It's a cooler, so that'd be in line with Smirnoff Ice.
    Vodka water bar-lime - basically what it sounds like.
    Tequila sunrise - only if you're okay with the taste of tequila. It's not overbearing, it ends up having a very light, fruity taste.


    ...it appears that I drink too much.

    I would think that things like black opals and white russians and such would work well too... I love the taste of those and they aren't as girly as some others!
    Edit: white russian isn't fruity, but think TASTY :D

    Just get what you usually order. Can you imagine marrying the guy and having to drink stupid fancy drinks all the time just cause you were disloyal to yourself on the first date?

    Even though I am a captn and caffeine free diet coke girl (mouthful right!)- I like my bacardi and cool aids at home! Just remember - you are a chick and it is ok to drink chick drinks!! haha Vodka and cranberry juice is yummy too!

    first of all, I think you might be over thinking, its just a drink! He's likely not going to think your butch if you drink beer. My boyfriend was incredibly impressed, for example.

    Second, I could go on forever about drinks you can make that are fruity.

    Margaritas are delish
    so are...
    bay breeze
    screwdrivers
    sex on the beach
    orange crush
    lalalalala

    the list goes on..

    But alcohol is so versitile. I have a book called 10000 drinks a friend bought me for my 21st and its filled with endless combos. They make all kinds of flavors and **** so just look some recipes up based on flavors you like.

    When I want something sweet and easy I go for a Malibu Rum with pineapple juice or Disaronno and coke (which is realllllly sweet) Disaronno on the rocks is pretty smooth too.

    I wouldn't want to be with a guy who judges me for liking beer.

    Beer is one of the problems that got me here in the first place.

    My boyfriend and I used to do Brewery tours around states in New England during the summer. Red Hook, Smuttynose, Sam Adams, Long Trail, Gritty's, Magic Hat, the list goes on and on.

    I vote Sam Summer.

    First of all, Budweiser is not "butch". If he doesn't like you because of what you drink, then he's a douche.

    Anyway, just go with something simple like the others have suggested
    Jack and coke
    Vodka lemonade
    Vodka cranberry
    Flavored vodka and Sprite
    Long island
    Etc.

    Go for something a little softer- White wine such as Riesling or Moscato. It shows class but willing to enjoy a good summertime drink.

    *thumbs up to the Coke people* I'm relatively new to drinking... it was this past semester at school that drove me to it at 29 years old LOL....

    but I enjoy a coke zero with malibu rum... or a coke zero with peach schnapps, so delicious! Some evenings I will have some pink moscato wine. =)

    Diet Root Beer and Malibu
    Just found a liquor in Vermont called cabin fever which mixes maple syrup with a 3yo whiskey....can't wait to try some recipes with that!!
