Olive Garden Salad

Does anyone know how many calories for 1 cup of Olive Garden's complimentary salad? I am going there tonight with some co-workers and plan on sticking to the Garden Fare menu and was craving some of their salad along with my entree.

Go to food and look up olive garden and I think you will find it but you may not want to see it.0

That's the first place I checked. According to MFP, it says the house salad is 350 calories per plate. I was just wondering what they mean by plate. Do they consider "plate" to be a full salad entree? That would make a huge difference.0

You can request the salad without the dressing and then add like 1 TB of dressing to your portion. Also, if you avoid the cheese adn croutons, that will help, too. The breadsticks are a completely different story. Good luck resisting them
Oh and Olive Garden posts nutritional info on their website. Check it out.

if you are trying to stick to a low calorie diet, i would recomend that you get the zuppa toscana soup instead of the salad. the salad has 28 grams of fat in 1 serving. i cant remember how many calories, but when i saw 28 grams of fat i said omg, i'll take soup instead. also a good dish on the garden fare menu is the pomodoro. dont get the linguini, its kinda blan and not very good. also, you can ask them for a nutritional guide, them have them there. good luck!:flowerforyou:0

Good idea for omitting the crotons and cheese0

You won't have an answer for tonight, but I emailed them a while back and asked the same thing (how much is a "serving"?) I cannot find the answer in my email, but I know that they were very helpful and wrote back to me right away, so if you go there a lot, you may want to shoot them an email and ask them any and all questions that you have. :flowerforyou:0

A bowl is a bowl is a bowl. They will bring you a plate. The only time you're given a bowl is for the soup. Not UNLESS you ask for the same soup bowl and eat only one bowl of salad. Same w/the "salad PLATE".
The RULE of thumb is to START with soup since it will FILL you up before the main coarse. Ask for a bowl of soup and a hot cup of water. Why? To dilute the soup since it will be VERY salty....beware when you eat out as the food ALWAYS tends to be "salty". INSTEAD of the fat breadsticks, ask for Melba toast and/or wheat crackers. I'm tired!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
Blessings! :flowerforyou:

My department is getting Olive Garden catered in for lunch on Friday. I already looked up all the nutritional info and have it loaded on my food log....
lets just say I'm going to be in the gym for a LOOOOONG time Friday night....0 -
Olive Garden has a low fat/light dressing they just don't advertise that they have it. Just ask for that. It actually tastes really good, in fact I think it's better than the regular.
Oh, and ask them to leave off the croutons. Then the salad is practically no calories at all.0
