I'll be going for a two week holiday on Saturday and I'm thinking of changing my settings to 'maintain current weight' as I know I probably will go over a 1200 kcal intake. But I'm afraid I'll gain a lot during those 2 weeks. Anyone any tips on how to keep up with the diet during a summerholiday? I'll probably walk a lot, but... y'know.

    Be sensible.

People seem to think that "VACATION = BINGING", which isn't true. You're still the same person you are when you're NOT on vacation so same rules apply.

Portion control, selective eating. Try things, but don't overindulge.

My philosophy about vacations is to not gain more than 5 lbs. It will be mostly water which will come off the next week or two.

I only get a couple of weeks vacation a year, I'm not going to stress over my weight. Two weeks out of 52 is not going to derail my lifetime goal.

where are you going? whenever I go on vacation I make a point to sample local flavors...if you're headed anywhere near the beach, there will bound to be fresh seafood, which is great until you deepfry it!

I'm going to South-Korea. That's why I'm a little worried. I know I'll keep myself from binging, but I want to try as much as possible!
  • my opinion is to have fun. whats the most you could gain in two weeks? probably around 5-10 pounds and most of it will be water weight. you don't go to south korea everyday so why no try and taste new things? also, i'm assuming you'll be walking around a lot and sight seeing, so calories will be burned.
