Strength training dvd

Hello all,
So I am currently getting ready to start my second round of 30ds. I am 5'5 and weighing in at about 148. I would like to still lose another 10lbs. at least, but would also like to tone, for I've heard so many times that you don't have to weight 120lbs to look skinny....you can be 135 and just tone up. I am wondering is 30ds enough toning? Or does anyone know any good toning dvd's I could do on top of 30ds to help tone up my muscles?? Thanks so much!!

Kelly Coffey Meyer has some great ones. Any of her 30 minute ones work similarly, and have heavier weights/better form than Jillian.

Yes, I do that one and her Xtreme Timesaver Training often. I've seem some results and am in the process of increasing my weights to lift heavier. The Power Circuit workout is great for allowing you to increase the weight while still being able to keep up with the workout. I also do Jillian MIchael's workouts and I love them but I don't think they are enough for good toning.

Agreed! Jillian is a great workout no doubt, but not enough to sculpt and tone. Well I guess it didn't take much to convince me haha, I just ordered Jackie's dvd off amazon. We will see how it goes! Thank you!!

30 Day Shred is a good workout, but you need to use weights heavy enough to fatigue your muscles or it's just aerobic (that's how it was explained to me). Jillian uses 3 lb weights. I used 5-8 lbs depending on the move. The Butt Bible is a full body workout. The dvd is on Amazon, but you can find it on youtube. That's 2 weeks at each level, lower body on Mon/Thurs, upper on Tues/Fri, cardio of your choice on Wed/Sat, and rest on Sun. Pauline (the trainer) tells you to use heavier weights if it's too easy, but you have to watch your form because sometimes she's just talking and curling and she starts speeding up. I just started doing the routines out of Jackie Warner's book This is Why You're Fat.... So far I love it! Check this out, too. Not a dvd, just a good read. http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/

Totally interested in responses to this one, would love to add some strength training but can't join a gym and do much better watching something the going free form or off a paper lol.

I enjoy the Chalean Extreme workouts with dumbbells. You can order a DVD set through Beach Body. I started with separate dumbbells, but my Christmas present was the Bowflex SelectTech dumbbell set. The combination has worked out great for me.

I find that I don't really get a good workout from Chalean extreme, I don't know if it's just not even sets or a combo of bad form and wrong weights or something, wish I could afford a trainer.
