Yet, you did. That's rather hypocritical of you.
Are you happy I don't live in Canada? I'm sure you do, therefore, that would be the best part of Canada....that I don't live there.
I do like visiting Winnipeg, though. Best steakhouse I've ever eaten is in Winnipeg. They have the best escargot and peppercorn steak on the planet. I do miss that place. Why did you post anything in this thread? Why did you waste your time by reading responses.
Don't bother responding to this guy, he's not worth it.The best thing about Canada: I don't live there!
miracole: you're proud of socialism? Interesting!
The door is always open Pal! Come on over! Largest formerly undefended border on the planet! (Undefended until they started flying Predators along the border that is...)0 -

Dang, now I'm craving ketchup chips.0

When I see the craziness and sadness that goes on in other parts of the world that are still unfortunately so primitive and underprivileged I feel blessed to have been born here into such freedom and beauty. To not be starving for food, water shelter or other basic human rights is something I try not to take for granted on a daily basis. I love being Canadian!0

I use to attend the hockey camp in Winnipeg when I was younger. Stayed in the college dorms for 9 weeks during the summer just to improve my game. Saw Wayne Gretsky and the Canadian hockey team take on some slaps. Wayne had 7 assists and 4 goals that game. He was amazing.0 -
Hey, Canadians replying to this thread, please sport a Canadian flag this weekend. With the Euro cup and everyone sporting other countries flags, it would be nice to see some patriotism to the country we belong to. So if you have a flag up, make sure you have a Canadian flag up too. I adore the patriotism that American's show for their country, we should really follow suit.0

Also, Kinder Surprise. I hear those are illegal in the States?
I had no idea that Smarties, Coffee Crisps, Nanaimos, etc were unique to us...0 -

This is so topical... the following is a cut and paste from an email I received on Tuesday. I can't verify the facts but its good, fun reading. Please don't anyone take it too seriously... I'm Canadian and we rarely take anything seriously.
C/P from somewhere else below...
What do we Canadians
Have to be Proud of?
1. Smarties (not sold in the USA)
2. Crispy Crunch, Coffee Crisp
(not sold in the USA)
3. The size of our footballs fields, one less
down, and bigger balls.
4. Baseball is Canadian - 1st game
June 4, 1838 - Ingersoll, ON
5. Lacrosse is Canadian
6. Hockey is Canadian
7. Basketball is Canadian
8. Apple pie is Canadian
9. Mr. Dress-up beats Mr. Rogers
10. Tim Hortons beats Dunkin' Donuts
11. In the war of 1812, started by America , Canadians pushed the Americans back past
their White House. Then we burned it, and
most of Washington ...
We got bored because they ran away.
Then, we came home and partied.....
Go figure.
12. Canada has the largest French population
that never surrendered to Germany.
13. We have the largest English population
that never Ever surrendered or withdrew
during any war to anyone, anywhere. EVER!
(We got clobbered in the odd battle but
prevailed in ALL the wars)
14. Our civil war was fought in a bar and
lasted a little over an hour.
15. The only person who was arrested in our
civil war was an American mercenary, he
slept in and missed the whole thing.
He showed up just in time to get caught.
16. A Canadian invented Standard Time.
17. The Hudsons Bay Company once owned
over 10% of the earth's surface and is still
around as the world's oldest company.
18. The average dog sled team can kill and
devour a full grown human in under 3 minutes.
(That's more information than I need!)
19. We know what to do with the parts
of a buffalo.
20. We don't marry our kin-folk...
21. We invented ski-doos, jet-skis, Velcro,
zippers, insulin, penicillin and the telephone.
Also short wave radios which save countless
lives each year.
22. We have ALL frozen our tongues to
something metal and lived to tell about it.
23. A Canadian invented Superman.
24. We have coloured money.
25. Our beer advertisements kick *kitten*
(Incidently... so does our beer)
BUT MOST IMPORTANT !
The handles on our beer cases are big enough
to fit your hands in with mitts on.
OOOoohhhhh..... Canada !!0 -
The Canadian Football League... We have a Larger field. We have bigger balls. You know its good when you are willing to sit outside drinking ice cold beer in -20 degree weather....Go Bombers!

What is a beaver tail???
a deep fried pastry, kind of along the lines of an elephant ear or a funnel cake, but slightly thicker and shaped like a beaver's tail. Traditionally served with cinnamon and sugar though there are many more combinations now. Delicious! particularly if you eat them on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa during Winterlude in February.0 -
