Ketchup chips are the best thing ever.
And dill picke chips!!!
What's so great is to be able to enjoy 5 foot of snow in the winter and +40 degrees C in the summer. Run in the wild at 10Km away from a 3 millions people city (I live in Mtl) and see so many culture that hang out together that you cannot understand who is speaking what language...
And oh yeah, not being afraid that someone will pull a gun and kill you is awesome too.0 -
Everything, especially Hockey (go nucks) and Timmy's!! I am proud to be a Canadian and I feel so lucky to live here! Happy Canada Day eh! :drinker:0

The best thing about Canada: I don't live there!
miracole: you're proud of socialism? Interesting!
You are the reason why I enjoy being Canadian. You're not living here.0 -
Everything listed in this thread *and* Canadian music! Too many to name, but my top ten off the top of my head: Arcade Fire, Broken Social Scene, Feist, Sloan, Blue Rodeo, Sarah Harmer, Sarah McLachlan, Neil Young, The Band and The Stills!
Happy Canada Day, everyone!
(...and Happy almost 4th of July to our neighbours, too!)0 -

How could I forget about our healthcare?
Oh and the Ryans too, swooooon.0 -
I always thought that Canada is quietly awesome. We KNOW we're awesome, but we’re not obnoxious about it. Also, I’ve always felt so privileged to be born here. We have only about 35 million people who live here… the odds of being born Canadian are slim to none. Yet here I am
I heart living in Canada because I love the feeling of BEING SAFE! And yes, we’re CRAZY about hockey, it’s all true. And we can LAUGH about ourselves, our politics, our lack of military (which I like), our Prime Minister, our accent, our this, our that… I love our sense of humour.
I’m tearing up, no word of a lie.
I LOVE US.0 -
Everything has been covered so far.
Happy Canada Day Weekend!0 -
Cottage country.
Fresh air.
I wouldn't trade living here for anywhere else. May all the Canadian MFPeeps reach their goals in 2012.
Happy Canada Day weekend everyone :drinker:0 -
I'm a Canadian expat in France and i'm ever proud of my country (they love us here too )0

Free health care
Beaver Tails
Friendly People
We are so socialist that we have a medical marijuana department in Health Canada (I don't partake, I just think it's fantastic)
I can bike 17km to work and have less than 1km of that be on a major road.
Canada is freaking big!
Are Beaver tails free? I might have to move.....0 -
I'm not Canadian but I've been to different areas of Canada on vacation multiple times. The things I love about Canada
-You have so many beautiful places in your country
-Your drinking age is 18. Which every American teenager within driving distance loves you for
-Hockey. God I love hockey
-When I was in Nova Scotia I noticed in every cafe ou coud get a shot of booze in your coffee. I love a country that condones drinking on the way to work :-)0 -

Just thought I'd mention.......Elton John and his Canadian hubby are in the middle of building their big giant house in Caledon, which is just NW of Toronto. Lots of celebrities (eg: Kurt Russell/Goldie Hawn among others) have cottages up in Muskoka. Canada is diverse.....whatever your heart desires...city life or country........we have it all.0

Only man-made ones. :flowerforyou:0 -
I'm from NC so I'm allowed to pick on it, right? Actually it is legal to marry certain types of relatives in several US states. In NC we usually pick on people from West Virgina about marrying relatives,
As far as Canadians, MOST that I know or have met have been pretty cool, but like with any other culture there are a few douches.
Happy Canada Day! Rock on and thank you for Ryan Reynolds and Georges St. Pierre!

The Bruce Peninsula water is so clear that it might as well be tropical...especially when we are having a heat wave like today and it is close to 40 degrees celsius (which is around 104 Fahrenheit).

We don't marry our relatives
^ Wait, which non-Canadians marry their relatives?
I love Canadians and am not picking a fight. Just curious...
I believe in North Carolina you can.
Canadians are so undesirable that even their relatives won't marry them?!?
A girl that ain't good enough for her own kin sure ain't good enough for strangers! :bigsmile:0
