Me, I'm afraid of needles. I also keep thinking that when you get wrinkly in later life they're not gonna look good. :noway:

I don't even like to wear the same nail polish for more than 4-5 days, so tattoo is not for me on myself.

Nope, no tattoos, no piercings. Not even ears. To me a tattoo is far too permanent. It would be like saying you have to wear the same shirt every day for the rest of your life (or bracelet, or pair of socks - whatever comparison works for you). I change my mind far too often.

I have worked with a series of women who ALL say they regret getting the tattoos they have - for different reasons. Others have been happy with theirs - but they're usually the ones who have smaller ones in places that can be easily covered if desired. One girl was in tears when it finally dawned on her that the huge tattoo she'd gotten on her leg meant that she could never wear shorts or a feminine dress without this large drawing being there all the time. I was like, "Uh, didn't you think of that before??" I honestly think that at the time she got it (her "biker phase") she never thought she'd be in anything other than black leather. Then her life changed, and she was stuck with this permanent graffiti on her body.

And yes, this opinion frequently gets me flamed. Not telling you that you can't get one, so chill.

I would love to have one, but I am majorly needle phobic. So much for that then.

No tattoo for me.....just a big long scar on my left arm that kind of resembles railroad tracks....I had enough staples there to steer me away from needles for quite a while. I am mesmerized by everyone else's tattoos tho, but not my style.

Althoughh I do admire the art work of a nice tattoo I feel they are not for me! I am a non-tatooer!!

Tattoos can be nice, and they can be too much. For me, it's not my thing, so I don't have any. I have considered them, but as I got older, I realized that something permanent on my body is too much of a commitment when my interests always change.

Nope, no tatoos. I can appreciate that many have deep meaning for the people who have them. The artwork can sometimes be quite something. But I still find them distasteful. Not saying that those with them are distasteful just tatoos in general. That is my own reaction.

    None for me.

I managed to live through the 90's in San Francisco AND being in the Navy and never did get one, so I don't think anything will ever induce me to do so!

I sort of considered it when I was younger and everyone I knew was getting them, but I never could think of anything that I felt I'd want on my body for ever. I somehow knew that I'd grow and change as a person.
  • I have no tattoos and don't plan on getting any.
It is just not for me.
    They are just so permanent.

None here, too permanent for my tastes. (which change constantly)
  • No. I'm tattoo free. I do frequently find myself admiring the tattoo work on nicely muscled arms and backs of men though. I blame David Beckham for that!

I do not have any tattoos, either. :) I like being ink-free :)

I know many people who have tattoos symbolizing important experiences or values in their lives, but I say, if you want to know what is important to me, get to know me!
