Beer

I am a beer lover, enjoy IPAs, lagers, Porter and many more. One day I had 5 beers that added up about 1000 calories!!!
Does anyone has suggestions of a good light beer? Most of the ones I tried are pretty bad. I usually drink about 5 to 7 beers per weekend so I need to find a nice tasting light beer.
According to AA I am consider an alcoholic but I don't care, I do not drink for the buzz but for the flavor, it is my little weekend pleasure.

This is.similar to a topic I posted friday. I, too, love my porters, I.p.a, and FLAVOR! I'm tired of going over. I am definitely more of a beer.drinker but was.suggested to drink lemon vodka soda with lime. I add mio to it and became a fan. I started with 3 of them and finished the night with 2 beers. (vodka soda is only 100 cal) I still got my beer drinking in.0

If you really enjoy the higher calories beers I'd say have them, you dont sound like you drink excessively and sound far from an alcoholic in my view.
To offset maybe do a little more exercise to give you a few spare calories?1 -
guiness!! surprisingly low cal. 125ish.0

Not many bars have them, but Sam Adams Light and Yuengling Light are pretty good light beers.0

I love a good craft beer. If I was in a position where I was getting too many carbs or overall calories from beer I would most likely choose quality over quantity. If I HAVE to choose between 1 Imperial Stout or 4 lagers, the stout would win almost every time. Of course I understand not everybody considers that a good option.
One question is what you mean by "light" beer. For most people they are referring only to beers with "light " on the label & ones that are around 100cals or lower. For me & many who are into craft beers (which it sounds like you are), we might say we want a lighter brew on a hot summer day...but what we mean by that turns out to be a 150cal pale ale.
If you just mean low"er" calories then Guinness Draught isn't a bad suggestion at all. The lower 4.3% ABV similar to normal light beers allows it to keep the cals down, but is much more filling than your average industrial lager; so you're much less likely to miss the extra calories.
If you do want a true light beer then I recommend you just go exploring. When I first got into craft brews I constantly bought build-your-own & other sampler packs & smaller single bottles when I could. I almost completely stopped drinking big-name lagers & kinda forgot that they all didn't taste the same. Once I got over my initial beer-snob phase I desired to appreciate all grades & styles of beer for what they were. So I have been deliberately ordering lighter or cheaper beers here & there. So if you want to find the best light beer for you it's just like finding the perfect stout: Try & taste a different one every bottle when you can & you should quickly find some that really stand out.0
