Professional yoyo dieter eater / HELP

Good morning everyone. My name is Chris and I just turned 40 in April. I have done the yoyo diet thing since about 1995. Back then I was about 290 (and I am 6'2). My best friend got me up and moving and in 6 months I had gone to 219. I got married and went back up to 285. Then the fun began. I got divorced and lost again because I knew I would be dating. Then I would get into a good relationship, relax and pack it back on. I have lost and gained over 60 lb 4 times between now and then. I am currently at my second highest ever which is 340. Getting in the right mindset and getting into healthier habits are the hardest for me. I just have such a bad habit of when and what to eat that I constantly shoot myself in the foot and take two steps back to each forward. I am ready to get healthier for me and especially my kids. (ages 5 and 11) I have a 5K obsticle course coming up in October to see where I am, but booked that in April and have done nothing to this point to get ready for that. I just need some help with the motivation, acountability and just general venting when I feel like giving up or giving in. I want to be healthy! I just know if I can get on that right path and stay there long enough that I can do it. Right now I just feel defeated and frustrated. Looking for some friends / partners on here to help each other get it done. Please feel free to add me and best of luck to everyone!

Hello! Feel free to add me on here if you'd like. Just remember to take everything one day at a time and set small weight loss goals! We all tend to get so overwhelmed looking at all of it as a whole, but broken down, it is a task that anyone can accomplish! :)

Congrats on taking the first step! My advice is to get your nutrition under control first, then add exercise. Taking small steps is the way to create and maintain good habits. Also, take 'diet' out of your vocabulary. This is a lifestyle. You can take it off and keep it off!

Good luck! And if you'd like verbal whoopin's (if you need them) you can always add me as a friend.
