MFP doesn't choose the ads, you know...0

Ads are based on your personal browsing history.0

Just Obama? Does this mean fat people are more likely to vote Democrat? Can we call ourselves Demofats? (Even though I'm not a Democrat, that would still crack me up, but then again, I'm easily amused!)0

Actually they do get to restrict ads otherwise the group of ads would be over run with porno ads. Businesses have a say of what ads can run.
Yes Im a huge politic head so based on Google s searches it doesn't surprise me. I just think its funny that we cant talk about politics but MFP can advertise about it. MFP should deselect all political ads ...Just my 2¢0 -

I'm planning a Disney World vacation so all of my ads are generally from Disney. However a few days ago someone asked me how to get to "the scooter store" and I google'd it... now I get a scooter store ad every so often. :happy:0

It's impossible to talk politics and keep it civil. Too many different opinions. I agree, we should be able to discuss politics here. What ever happened to freedom of speech? Or of the press?0

This is true and as such there is a rule against it and political images.0 -
I'll make sure to raise the question of political ads with Mike in our next meeting.
In the meantime I'm going to lock the thread to prevent it from becoming a) political or b) a place to vent about the forums. I think the thread has served its purpose and we'll definitely discuss the question of political ads on the site.
Regards,
Steven
