I have the same problem. This is my 2nd round with MFP. In the past 13/14 months, I lost 40 pounds and put 30 back on due to getting a boyfriend who is a chef and stress factors.

i did that i lost 4 stones then found a gf and tho we ate reasonably healthy i started to eat the wrong things and put 3/4 of a stone back on , we finished i joined my fitness pall and now ive lost 6 stones. i think this has to be a lifetime thing, if we go back to eating wrong foods or bigger amounts it goes on again.

    you stated the problem exactly:

when i eat healthy a shed the pounds/ but as soon as i stop i gain it back with extras

they key is to not view how you eat as a chore to stay healthy, and find yourself stopping the chore and gaining it back.

to lose it, and keep it off, it requires a lifestyle change. a change in PERCEPTION and MINDSET.

You need to see the unhealthy foods for what they are - chemistry kits full of junk pumped out by huge corporate companies that want to keep you fat and eating thier product.

eat more natural foods - force yourself to enjoy the healthy ones and soon your mind finds joy and you no longer force it. I HATED SALAD... forced myself to eat it every day for a month - now I enjoy it.

When you make junk food no longer an option, it becomes easier.
  • You should not diet then. The problem is your nutrition style. You can slowly modify it to become healthier(it will take some time) or just diet on and off which will lead to fast weight loss and fast weight gain.
