I'm finding that my shoes are starting to feel too big and my feet just slip out of my sandels while walking. So anyone else having this issue?

I hope that happens for me , too, as it is a P.I.T.A to find size 13 men shoes anywhere. I'd rather be size 12 or 110

Its funny I come across this topic..Cause just two minutes ago, as I climbing the stairs to my office, my feet kept slipping out of my shoes and I was like WTH? I even mentioned it to my colleague if it would be possible to lose a shoe size if we lost weight and then we rubbished it..but I guess its true, shoes become loose too..Yay! New NSV..:) Though I hope I don't outgrow my favourite pair of boots..That would be a shame..A shame I can live with, though if it means I am losing weight..:P Ha ha!0

I went to the store yesterday with my DH and my sandels kept falling off. My DH thinks its rubbish as well that my feet are getting smaller.0 -
yes i was a size 6 shoe then i lost 7 1/2 stone and now im a 5...lol0

I went from a UK size 6 to a UK size 4 when I lost an incredible amount of weight. It was a sad day when I had to give away my bigger shoes lol0

My feet got a little more narrow, but the actual size has not gotten smaller. In fact, I have gone up a half to full size. You think it's hard finding size 13 men's, try finding cute size 11 women's!0

Def happening to me, which sucks cause I have some tiny feel to begin with. I'm a women's 5/6 in shoes (heels I need a 6) and they're becoming too big....soon I'll be a child's size0

Strangely I have been a size 5 U.K. most of my adult life, however since gaining weight I am now a 4. Maybe it is an age thing, not really sure lol0

Yes- I have big feet anyways, but I went down 1/2-1 size.0

Yep, had to get rid of all my size 8 shoes, im now a 7 but tried some shoes on at the weekend and needed a 60

My shoes fit differently now - don't know if it is a whole shoe size...but some of my shoes sort of flap on me and the ones I have bought recently while the same size are shoes I wouldn't have been able to fit my feet in 30 lbs ago0

The shoes I have still fit just fine. What I've noticed is shoes I had deemed "uncomfortable" or blister-causing now give me no problems because my feet fit in them better. I have some shoes that are a 9.5 that fit well but I've still mostly got size 10 shoes.

For me, foot length is essentially the same (had to go up a size in runners due to toe rubbing though) but they are definitely more narrow. I notice the change way more in sandal type shoes than sneakers. Even had to give a pair of my favorite sandals away because they were slipping off!0

Nope - but I will be happy when I dont have to look for "wides" anymore. None of the really cute heels come in wides so we just have to suffer through the foot pain!!! So not fair! :sad:0

My feet are just less chubby now. They were a 6/6.5 and now I wear a 6 comfortably.0

My shoes were the FIRST things to get loose lol. In fact, I've only lost 6 pounds and my shoes are already getting big. Why can't it be the REST of my clothes doing that? :grumble:
A friend of mine had a weight loss surgery a couple years ago and she noticed her hands and feet were shrinking. Her doctor actually told her that your extremities are the first things to shrink. I don't know how true that is.
Anyway, one of the things that happens to your feet when you're heavy is that they spread. They spread with age, too, but much more slowly and less noticeably.Your weight pushes down and spreads/flattens the bones in your feet. (Well, not the bones, literally, but they spread apart and your feet flatten.) I wouldn't be surprised if there is increased swelling do to the added stress, as well.
No wonder our feet hurt!0
