Who are you? A Trekie, or a Whovie. The ultimate debate.

I am trying to prove a point to my parents. My stepdad loves star trek, and my mom thinks Doctor Who is lame. I am a die-hard Whovie. David Tennant is my Doctor.
Also, When did you start watching the pick that is your favorite?
I started watching Doctor Who three years ago.

Agreed. Trek, Wars, and Who over in this corner. And then some. It's brain candy! Why limit yourself?

Why do you have to pick one?

I grew up watching reruns of ST:TOS.

I started watching Doctor Who in the Tom Baker days (the fourth doctor). I have soft spot for him. All the modern doctors have done a good job, I thought, but yeah, there's something about Tennant. . . .

I've never seen Doctor Who, to be honest.

    *runs and hides*

    *sneaks back*

But I grew up watching Star Trek - the Original, Next Gen, Deep Space, Voyageur, Enterprise, the movies - I love them all!

He did a fantastic job bringing the Doctor to a new generation.

Starting watching Star Trek in the mid to early 70's, so definitely a trekkie. Never even heard of Whovies...go figure.

Aren't Whovies the tiny little people that Horton was always hearing?

All three versions for me! Although i did get kinda glad they cancelled SGU. It was going nowhere fast.

I am a Shatner Trekie (next gen and voyager need not apply) and a definate Tom Baker Whovie. Jon Pertwee was good as well, but tom baker is and always will be the ultimate Doctor for me.

Revamped Star Trek and Chris Eccleston are also Good

I started watching Dr. Who and Star Trek about 1976

Oh yeah, that one was a disappointment. I'm all about the original movie and SG-1. Atlantis wasn't bad.

I love Dr. Who, Star Trek, and Star Wars! I started watching Dr. Who (Tom Baker) in the 1980s, ST:TNG in the 90s, and Star Wars in the 70s. I don't see why you can't love all kinds of shows. I also love Stargate. :)

I am so happy someone else is a Whovian too! I watch both but love Doctor Who way more! David Tennant is also my favorite! Love a lot of horror and other Sci Fi shows too!

Last watched Dr Who when Tom Baker was the man (yup, I'm an old wrinkly)
Bill Shatner is the only captain. Jean Luc is good, but even he becomes #1 when The Captain is in the room.

BTW - The Daleks scared the living **** out of me

I am a Trekker, not a Trekkie - big difference. And Dr. Who sucks donkey balls.

Grew up watching the original Star Trek (mom is a Trekkie) so I loved it, too.

TNG was ok - but didn't get into too much.

Remember watching the original Dr. Who and being entertained, but have no desire to see this recent one.

Would much rather see TORCHWOOD any day of the week, above anything!!! Love Jack Harkness!!!

Haven't see Doctor Who. So.... Trekkie. I started with Voyager a few years back.

But I love everything similar to Star Trek. Firefly, BSG, Stargate etc.
