Just one mile - 6:30, but only one at that speed.0

5:54 back a few months ago when it was cool. Right now in the heat 6:10.0

The one time I tried jogging a mile I did it 20 minutes :blushing: I need to work on it. I'm horrible at running. Any tips on how I can improve my endurance?0

I started in February. I'm up to 5 miles in 60min. I am working on a 10K. I just to work on getting faster.0

im a horrible runner as well. i lowered my speed so i can succeed longer in intervals. few minutes gradually going up...im not as advanced as some of these ppl and their times but i am down to 14minutes 11seconds.0 -
I'm still very much a newbie, and one with a previous ankle injury to continue to watch closely, but I can run a 12 minute mile right now and honestly in my shape I'm pretty pleased with that!0

About 9.5 minutes.0
-
I average a 10 minute mile and that's comfortable for me0
-
I run 5kms (3.1 miles) in 30 minutes, so I'm a tad under 10 minutes/mile.0
-
I am now averaging 8:20 on my 10k runs. Today I ran 4 miles and really pushed the last mile which I ran in 7:46.0
-
Hmmmmm, I'll have to run a mile to find out but I average about 10 min per mile on 10km training runs (a bit faster for the shorter ones and slower on longer ones)0
-
1 mi = about 8:30
6 mi = about 9:15
13 mi = I'm hoping under 9:300 -
I just ran a 1500m race in 5:14, which is 5:37 pace, so right around 5:40.0

Try breathing exercises to increase your lung capacity. Pretty much take a deep breathe, take sips of air when you think your lungs are full. Exhale, when your lungs are empty, try to exhale even more.

I ran my first 5K last month and did it in 33 minutes 27 seconds, so I'm just over 11 minutes/mile. I usually do a 12 minute mile on my treadmill and it's still a struggle to run those three miles. I'm hoping to get my time down and do another in a couple months, but I've really only been able to run the full three miles for a short while. I would like to do a 10K this fall too and I think losing some more weight will help immensely so I'm not carrying such an extra load while trying to run.0

1 mile all out - 6:45, but it used to be 9:30, then 9, then 8:30....and so on,0

I have just started running too, and I could only run half a mile at first now I'm up to 2 miles in 22 minutes! It took me 2 weeks at 6 x's a week to get there
Just keep trying for a lil more each time and you will get there.

It takes me about ten minutes to run a mile, that's at a comfortable pace. I finished the couch to 5k program a few weeks ago, so I'm happy with that time at the moment.0
-
My best mile is 9:10 - hit it during my first 5k race.
But my average mile on shorter runs is around 10 or 10:30 - longer runs, around 11:30 (working on 10k right now).

An all out put a fork in me I'm done single mile about 7 minutes. I can sustain 8:45 min/mile in a half marathon.0
-
1 mile = 8 minutes
3 miles = around 25 minutes
but it cause i have really big feet!!!0 -
About 9:30, and I am so thrilled! Because 3 months ago I couldn't run a mile straight.0
-
I can do one mile in about 8 min but usually I run 3-4 miles and avg about 10 min each. I keep trying to catch my son he runs a 5k in a little over 17 min I think I'll need my truck to catch him! Hahaaa0
-
I've been doing to c25k for about 8 weeks and am running about 10.5 min. miles. I'd like to run a 5k...but I'm curious how to make better time? Maybe that's an alright time for someone who's never run before0
-
I've gotten under 7 minutes a couple of times in my life, most recently about 2 years ago. In my most recent street race I averaged 8:00 per mile. I would love to break 6 minutes some day.0
-
Best mile: 7:58
Best 5k: 30:31
I wish I knew how to get faster but I am just stuck at that that pace!0 -
Around 12 minutes here. I just did couch to 5k too, so I'm a newbie.0
-
So I've never gone out and ran a flat out mile... are these "best mile" paces from a single mile or best one of a longer run? Just curious... I guessed mine at 8:30 but that's about my 5k race pace.0
-
A couple weeks ago I did one mile in 7:24. My best average pace over 5k is about 8:15. I'm working on breaking a 25 minute 5K.0
