I managed to pull a muscle in my back yesterday.
I'm guessing from swimming.
Does anyone know what to do / how to help a pulled muscle get better?
It's extremely painful - and Im missing the gym today because of it.

Rest, ice, Ibuprofen . Don't force it to work if it's that painful. A week or two out of the gym isn't anything compared to what would happen if you really mess it up. You don't want to be out a year for recovery. Your back is nothing to play around with.
When it gets to just be moderately sore some light exercise will make it feel better but don't force it.0 -
I also pulled a muscle last Tuesday while doing the Level 1 drills on Insanity. I assume I was doing push-ups incorrectly. It is very painful, even hurts to breath. I'm kind of wondering if I could have fractured a rib. Would love to know somethings to do for a pulled-muscle so I can get back to my work out. Currently just being able to run/walk on the treadmill is not enough for me! I have found that the Icy-Hot patches work really well to relieve some pain. Hope this helps!0
