Do you end up sewing the seams or leaving them raw?

I only have done one so far but I left the seams raw.

Oh good. Seams are why I quit sewing unless I have to, they're a pain. If the shirts are workable with raw seams then I'll try this! Have you washed it yet since making it? (Just curious how the raw seams held up in the wash.)

Unseamed jersey tends to hold up pretty well in the wash. It's what I used to make the cloth wipes for my son and we wash them tons. The edges tend to curl a little but it won't unravel.

Thanks for posting this! I couldn't believe how cute it looked. They also look like you'd stay cooler than in a store-bought tank.

Raw cut edges work bizarrely well with most cotton fabrics. They just don't fray.

I agree! Last weekend I bought one from target for 12.99 thinking I'd be cooler in it and I wasn't at all! Ts are usually light weight so it should be perfect for the gym.

In high school, I used to volunteer at blood drives and other events and I have a bunch of t shirts I don't want to give away even though they're getting to big for me as I lose more weight. I can't wait to try this (though I hope I don't mess up. ><)

Looks great! Have a ton of unflattering t-shirts that I'm too embarrassed to even wear to the gym. Maybe this will fix that.
