84 lbs down...15-20 lbs to go - The finish line is near!

Seems like every 3 months or so, my weightloss tends to drop off, and I find great motivation to "stay the course" by looking back at how far I've come.

I've recently gone shopping, and the most interesting shift has occured. Instead of being motivated to buy something just "because it FITS", I can be more discriminating with my purchases, because everything I try will fit, so if I don't absolutely LOVE it, then I don't buy it. It's really an amazing feeling!

Every time I read one of these success stories it motivates me. You have and are making a great transformation. I have been at or near my present weight for so long I have doubts I can ever do it. Stories like yours are proof. Thanks for sharing.

    So much ! Thank you!

@annokoye - I started out with 20 minutes on an elliptical machine about 6 weeks in, and watching my heart rate go off the chart and give me the "blinking" warning. About a month later I tried Zumba and LOVED it! I have been doing Zumba 3 to 5 times a week! I also tried a boot camp for about 3 weeks, but I think I need to just start some traditional strength training. I just earned a free session with a personal trainer, so I am going to have them outline a good plan for me.

@Gapwedge01 - Don't give up! BTW... Most of the cyclists we know "ride to eat" vs. riding for exercise. For me actually logging everything that I put in my mouth is what made a huge difference. And I found that if I was logging it, that it would help me to make better choices. Don't get me wrong, I typically will not pass up an amazing piece of chocolate fudge cake with cream cheese frosting from "the Prolific Oven", but the size of the piece will be small, and only the one piece. =) Good luck to you!

@cherisekntz - I just saw a special on TV last night, and the young lady had so much excess skin, that you couldn't see her belly button, so after seeing that, I would probably describe my skin as "soft" or "saggy". I definitely need some "firming/toning". I read that skin will naturally "resize", but that can take up to 2 years, and I am no spring chicken. Hoping that implementing strength training will help.
