Quick To Go Breakfasts!

I have very little time to get ready to go to work in the morning and I would like to know if anyone has any breakfast ideas that they make ahead of time and that they can just pull out of the fridge. I would like to start making my breakfasts a week before hand so anything that will either freeze well or keep in the fridge that long is great! Thanks in advance everyone! Keep up the good work!

I don't eat breakfast, but I'd make some breakfast wraps the night before with scrambled eggs, low fat cheese and diced red bell pepper on low carb tortillas. A couple of those and a piece of fruit sounds like a good way to start the day.0

You could make some omelets and freeze them. They freeze very well.
You could make one with feta cheese and spinach or salsa and spinach.
Also have you heard of overnight oats? Here are some overnight oat recipes

Or how about a few hard boiled eggs diced on a piece of whole wheat toast0 -

I like these (http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/06/hash-brown-egg-white-nests.html). They're eggs, potatoes, and toppings all in a neat little muffin sized package. I make them with sauteed spinach and feta cheese, no meat. My fiance likes his with fake meat and cheddar cheese. Any combination of things that you would normally put in an omelet would work. I make six at a time, which lasts for three meals. I stick them in ziploc bags and eat them while walking to the subway in the morning.
If you explore the skinny taste website, there are a lot of breakfast recipes on it. She makes oatmeal bars, muffins, scones, smoothies, breads, et cetera.0 -
How about plain greek yogurt and then you could stir in some honey or fruit. It's delish.0

I'm a fan of drinking my breakfast on the way to work... ie- Special K protein shakes, making your own almond milk shakes, etc. I also bring oatmeal with me in a coffee cup and eat it on the way instead of at home to save time.
If you have a coffee craving, I like the reduced-fat turkey bacon sandwiches from Starbucks.0 -
Check out overnight oatmeal recipes. You can make up a batch of different flavors in to-go containers and keep them in the fridge. There are some awesome combos out there.0

Yoghurt, oats and fruit.
Always easy and quick.
You can also put some yoghurt, oats and fruit in a blender and drink it on the way to work (get those to-go cups).0 -
Lately I've been into these Breakfast Cookies:

I left out the honey completely, subbed the milk powder for whey powder and added a little milk to get it moist and VOILA! No sugar, delicious cookies that you can eat for breakfast!0 -
These are all awesome ideas! Thanks so much guys! I think that I am just going to make a bunch of these on sunday and freeze them so i have breakfast for me and my husband all week! Thanks for the awesome ideas!0

Love breakfast cookies! Forgot about them!0

I boil eggs every week and take one for breakfast and usually a piece of fruit or a Weight Watchers string cheese. I also keep instant oatmeal in my desk at work and just add hot water, and toss in some blue berries or something.0

Boiled eggs are a great one! I usually pre-boil some but I forgot. Lol.0

I found this recipe for breakfast mini-frittatas on Pinterest that I'm trying today. It's 4 eggs & 1/2 cup milk beaten and spooned into 6 muffin tins with whatever fillings you want (mine are spinach & mushroom). Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes and you have a quick breakfast for several days.0

That sounds good too! Ill have to try it!0

I'm a homemade protein shake for breakfast kind of girl. If I don't even have time for that I grab one of my homemade no-bake pb-choco protein bars from the fridge.

I was just about to post this topic myself this morn, but searched and found yours first... I'm hungry in the morn. If I don't eat brkfst, I'll end up snacking and eating more calories than I should before I ever make it to lunch. I'm always looking for new quick ideas for breakfast as well. This morn I had a realllly good one. I was proud of myself!! I made a "thin turkey bagel brkfst sandwich"! This includes:
one THIN bagel (110 calories)
one wedge of laughing cow garden veggie cream cheese
and btw. 3-6 pieces of turkey lunch meat
I through all the ingredients in a ziplock bag as I went out the door. I toasted and put it together once I got to work.
TOTAL CALORIES: 189!!
Thanks for the post - It will help give me some ideas too!!0 -
That sounds amazing! I love bagel sandwiches so I am definitely gonna have to try this one! Thanks so much for the ideas guys!0

I eat my homemade granola dry when I'm in a huge rush.0

I don't do well with grain(wheat) at breakfast (but lunch and dinner they seem fiine)- So I usually have a protein shake ( banana, frozen berries, rice milk, protein powder)- I like drinking my breakfast.
ssometimes I just have a handful of nuts and juice. but that doesn't last quite as long as the shake and I need an earlier lunch or late morning snack.
I keep premade protein drinks in the fridge for rushed mornings.
I found a recipe for energy balls and have been fiddlling with it. Oats, honey, almond butter, dried berries, - stuff like that- rolled into small balls. It'll be good for breakfast once I get the recipe to my liking.0 -
I just wake up earlier and have cereal. I was having something quick on the way to work (a protein shake or something) but it made me suffer in..other departments. Raisin bran - measure it out the night before and wake up at 5am and eat it.0

Ooh, thanks for that link to the hash brown nests. I'm salivating now...0 -
First, I've got to address the fact that using 'I'm too busy' as an excuse to cook/prepare a meal isn't that convincing...
I get to work several hours before the sun comes up and each morning I make the time to cook eggs, ham, toast, and coffee to start my day off right...Takes 15 minutes from start to clean.
If you're just lazy (sorry) maybe try some microwaved oatmeal with milk, protein powder, a couple eggs, cinnamon, and a banana.0 -
Here are a few options oatmeal, oats, hard-boiled egg, or cereal. I just tried microwaving an egg added cheese and hot sauce, took 2-3 minutes and was good, since I get burned out on hard boiled eggs.
Break 1 egg in a microwave safe bowl and scramble with a fork. cover bowl and place in microwave to 1 - 1 1/2 minutes.0 -
Thanks for the ideas! And I'm not to lazy to do breakfast in the morning. I just have two little boys who suffer from night terrors and are usually up all night so I dont get much sleep. But I still want to be able to eat something healthy in the morning. But that was nice of you to judge someone you dont know0
