I have been having lettuce wraps at Carls Junior. It is the six dollar burger minus bread and no cheese or mayo. I am really satisfied with this burger but haven't been able to get a proper calorie count. Can anyone help?

I don't know if this will help, but here are two websites that have Carl's Jr. calorie counts:
http://calorielab.com/restaurants/carls-jr/32
http://www.dwlz.com/Restaurants/carlsjr.html
I would subtract 1 slice of cheese (usually 110 calories) and a Tbsp of Mayo0 -
Here you go

carls junior has a pretty good nutritional guide on their website, so I looked it up for you.
The original 6 $ burger: LOW CARB 6$ burger
1010 calories 490 calories
68g. fat 37 fat
27 saturated 16 sat
150 cholesterol 130 cholesterol
1980 sodium 1290 sodium
60 carbs 6 carbs
3 fiber 2 fiber
18 sugar 4 sugar
40 protien 33 protein
There are two slices of american cheese on this bad boy and god only knows how much mayo they actually put on it so, having worked in restaurants my whole life I would take the cals for 2 tbsp of mayo.
Cheese is still on the low carb version but it would only reduce this by 200 calories, 18 grams of fat, 1 carb and a lot of protein, 12 grams actually but......
The sodium and cholesterol should be enough to make you rethink eatting this monster in any form more than once every couple of weeks, those numbers are really high for a single meal and it probably doesn't keep you full very long considering the low amount of fiber. I would make this an occasional treat if I was putting it in my diet. It is still a little bit better than the original0 -
mnbarnum...I understand what you are saying. The thing is, I only order the burger, it has no cheese, no mayo, no bread, just the meat wrapped in lettuce tomatoe and pickles. I have been trying to find the calorie count on the burger itself. All I come up with is the whole burger with everything on it. Is there a way to find out just the burger in calories? I really want to know if the burger is really that bad to eat??? (In calorie's) waiting to hear from you! Thanks!0

This is what is in the burger alone:
Beef, salt, partially hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oil, sodium phosphates, spices.
The burger alone has got to be bigger then the average burger patty. I would suggest that you take the patty home and weigh it on your food scales. Then you will have at least a weight to work with to help figure out the calorie count.
A 3 oz. 15% fat ground beef patty has 213 calories. My bet the burger you are eating is at least 6 oz. or larger.
As for me.....eating even just the burger patty…..I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole. But that is just me. When I am out and I HAVE TO eat out I always look for the grilled chicken.
I will keep looking to see what I can find out about the meat only.
Have you thought about cooking a beef patty yourself and making this at home? That way you would be able to figure the calories out and it would be better for you I am sure. You can also make this and carry it with you.
I will keep looking to see what I can find and let you know. :flowerforyou:0 -
The low carb 6 $ is from the carls jr website, look under grilled sandwiches and it is one of the last two sandwiches listed. They have taken the bun off and something else but they do keep the mayo and cheese. A burger is not so bad, you have to eat meat or protein of some sort. My suggestion is to look at some of the chicken sandwiches, you can order the carb version of any sandwich in most fast food places now. I have to say I am a sucker for the occassional in and out burger and I have found I actually like the "low carb" version better than the one with the bun. Hey, every little bit counts and now its no bun, cheese or mayo and in a few months it will be turkey burgers or chicken instead of the burger!!
We have to give ourselves something tasty every now and then!
Go to carlsjr.com and click on the nutrition link and you have two options, build your meal or just look at calorie counts. I looked yours up using the build a meal. Hopefully they will update their website where you can put your sandwich in and take the cheese and mayo off. Taco Bell, starbucks and a couple of others let you modify the items with extras or take aways. You are still right around 300 calories for the low carb version of the burger!0 -
Thanks for helping with the info on calories....:flowerforyou:0

mnbarnum...Hi, I even called the resturante. They didn't know what the calorie count was in this burger. I guess I'll just stay away from big burgers. I'm sure I could do better on my choices. I thought I was getting away with something by eating it without bread or mayo but I am thinking the calorie count is still high and it has alot of fat. Thanks again.0

I am really glad you made the decision not to eat that again. You can still have a burger at home that will be way better for you and you will know what is in it. You can even have it on a whole wheat bun or in a pita pocket. I bought some a few days ago that are 55 calories for have of the pita bread. They are really good too. Make your food at home and it will be easy to figure your calories with out having to guess at what they are. :flowerforyou:0 -
The low carb burger is actually not bad if you get it w/o mayo and cheese, and the burger is 100% beef, there is no soybean or preservatives in it...hope this helps. PS...you can get any sandwich there "low carb"0

My arteries are clogging just thinking about that burger. I'll take my chances with just the bun, no burger!0

why not just pan-fry some meat at home and wrap it in lettuce? it'll be way cheaper in the long run and you'll know exactly what's in it. :flowerforyou:0

I went to jimmy johns and had an unwhich and I look on their website cuz you can minus anything off of the sub so with out the bread it was still 680 for the one sandwhich with out bread not if i minus the mayo and vinigeret it is only 330.. I about died and said I will never eat that agian with the mayo and dressing on it.... I can handle the 330 cuz I just drink water any way.. I really just try to stay home and eat but on that ocation I take my little book with me and it takes me a while to deside what I am going to eat.
