I should have kept my old pants so I could do that. But I just couldn't stand to have them around anymore.

  • Hi Everyone looks great. Did all of you lose just by counting the calories and entering exercises on MFP? Or did you all do something additional? I'm a skeptic. I've been using MFP consistently for 2 weeks and the scales are moving in the WRONG direction for me or not moving at all. I've been exercising more than ever. 1 hour on the stationary bike 4 - 5 times a week. And I've just started 1 hour on the elliptical starting this week :( I want to see results!!!! Help!! Any suggestions?

Everyone on here has done amazing!!!!! - when I have lost 10% of my original weight I will upload photos. Started at 238 now done to 220, my 18lbs ( lost 6lb before joining) don't warrant any photos as yet. But I can now get in to trousers I had for work that would'nt fit me. I love all these pics they are so inspirational when you see normal people acheiving such great weight losses. Thanks xx

I know for me it has been a long journey and what you have to remind yourself is that you didn't put on the weight overnight and it is going to take time to come off. I have been at this for 5 years and started at 272. I just recently weighed in at 196. That is with exercise, watching what I eat, and logging everything. I recently started the Body By Vi shakes to help with added nutrition and convenience. I have 3 kids and am often having to nosh on the go. I have always been a shake/smoothie junkie and I have found that since starting the shakes I am putting way less junk in my body. I don't look at it as a quick fix because I do manage my calories well. Again, remember this is not going to be a fast transformation. Give your body time to adjust to the changes you are making and the scale will eventually comply. You may want to even invest in a tape measure which will be more accurate.
