Eat what you want just stay within your calorie allotment or exercise to burn your overage.0

I don't go out to Chinese often, but usually now a days I get the beef & broccoli meal. This tends to fit into my calorie goal pretty well. If you are looking to maybe have something a little more sinful, just eat less calories throughout the day, or eat a small serving of it. :]0

Some places have a chicken lettuce wrap that is pretty decent.
How could I forget!??! I had these as an appetizer at my wedding too ;-). SOOO Tasty!0 -
I ALWAYS get steamed chicken, steamed broccoli, and white rice with NO sauce... i LOVE IT!! granted when my dog is sick i share with him but i think it's delish with some salt and pepper... yum now i want that for lunch!0

I like to order the "Happy Family" and ask them to prepare it without oil.
It's essentially a load of veggies, with shrimp, scallops, beef, pork, and chicken in a brown sauce. You can even ask for the sauce on the side.
For me, it's a great way to feel like I've sampled a little of everything in one dish. If I'm feeling real sassy I'll order an egg roll and give half to my boyfriend
good luck!0 -
I dont eat much chinese out but when I do, I indulge.
However - I've found that most frozen oriental dishes from Trader Joes are excellent. I just had the "Chicken Chow Mein". Its in the freezer section.... 310 calories for 1/2 the bag INCLUDING sauce. Its quite tasty.0 -
Get what you like and only eat half. Save the other half for lunch tomorrow. Work you *kitten* off to burn a few extra cals and you'll be good to go.0

I just recently found out that when you call in an order for chinese like general tso's you can request white meat and tell them to go light on the sauce. Even better then the original.0

We order Moo Shu pork, light sauce - no pancakes. Just a mix of meat, mushrooms, carrots, sprouts, cabbage. You can Moo Shu anything, chicken, beef, shrimp, vegetables. Decent calories for 1c serving.0

I was just surprised to find out that "calorific" is actually a real work. It sounds so weird to me. I say "caloric." Calorific sounds like a portmanteau of "calorie" and "terrific." This general tso's chicken is calorific!!!!0

Beef and broccoli, string bean chicken, steamed veggies.0

Hot and sour soup :P yummy and low calorie too0

order an entree with no breading, ask for it steamed, and get the sauce on the side. that way you can dip your fork in it (like salad dressing) before taking your bite.0

Treat yourself to whatever you like, and eat only half. That way you can treat yourself, and a little bit won't hurt you.
This is what I would do as well.0 -
I think everyone's saying the same thing but steamed veggies and meat. Snow peas and shrimp is pretty simple and low in calories.0

I agree - eat less than you would (maybe have a healthy snack before you go so your not starving)
Enjoy yourself (you have to be able to live life and diet)
Up the exercise before and after (just walk - if you can not do anything else)

beef & broccoli with no rice or any other meat dish that is NOT fried
Szechuan Veggies, no rice
chicken lettuce wraps
I try to go to places that have published nutrition facts, like P.F. Changs, then you can pick out something low cal beforehand. There are some smaller chain places too.0 -
If you're going to a GOOD chinese place, not lika Panda Express or something, just ask them to take it easy on the sauce and to use minimal oil. If you're a low carber, skip the rice and stick with something like Chicken and Broccoli. Most importantly, don't wolf it down. If you take longer to eat, you won't eat as much.
Enjoy! I love some good chinese food0 -
order a steamed dish with sauce on the side.0

Tofu and steamed veggies!0

The restaurant I eat at has a diet menu that is basically dishes prepared without the sauce. I usually get the veggies & scallops & only eat half the rice. Maybe you could ask for a dish with no sauce?0
-
Thats what I say too:)0

Many Chinese Restaurants offer (diet) steamed dishes with no sauce. You could get steamed chicken or shrimp with vegetables and brown rice and use a tablespoon of sauce from another dish (garlic sauce perhaps) to just season it a little. The Chinese Cabbage / Vinegar Slaw is good too.0
