Man! I go way back , from the sixties rock and roll and I really haven't had a gig since New Years Eve 2000. I haven't looked for it but I still miss it. I looks like DJ's, Carioki and just computers have taken all the work. Oh, I play drums and still keep up and give lessons but I do miss playing for a crowd. I guess I always will.

I played flute and piccolo in band and piano at home. Husband played trombone and euphonium. Out of our 5 children, #2 plays flute, euphonium and sousaphone, and his wife is fond of clarinet, but as a music major, she can play just about all instruments, #3 plays clarinet, #4 plays trumpet and sousaphone, and #5 used to play flute but now has found other artsy things to do like drawing and drama.0

I took flute and piano lessons play piano by ear though.
and I had ONE WEEK of trombone! my music teacher was studying for her master's and had to teach a student to play an instrument she had never taught before. but we worked really hard and I actually got to play a song with her class (she really pushed me. all the others teacher's taught their student one note) haha0
