I recommend the ninja kitchen system 1200-- I got mine for $120 and it does so much more. I heard the bullet still leaves heavy pulp.0

Yes - I have been using the NutriBullet for a few months now and have lost 30 lbs since I started
I hit the farmer's market every other weekend and wash and store my fruits and veggies and dring a Green Smoothie every morning - sometimes have one for lunch or dinner too! Keeps the simple carb cravings down - don't desire bread and sweets anymore!!!! Eat lean protein about 6 oz daily. Very happy with it. Bear in mind this is NOT a juicer it makes smoothies with fruits and veggies and keeps all the healthy nuitrients fiber so you're not hungry!0 -
I just purchased it also. What did you do to lose the 30lbs other than drink one of these for breakfast? It blended up everything really good. The only issue I had is that it had no taste at all. But i guess no taste could be better than a nasty taste lol0

Hi Gwen - I drink a Green Smoothie every morning - I load it with hard core greens like dandelion, spinach, swiss chard, parsley, fennel, add some frozen peaches or frozen strawberries and either - this makes it good an cold and top it off iwth some slices of ginger - I also add aobut 8 raw almonds and a tablespoon of raw flaxseed for the protein and Omega 3's. Then I add some unfiltered, unsweetened apple juice or some OJ and some mineral water up to the Max line.
I also cut up veggies like radishes, Persian or Japanese cucumbers, broccoli, carrots and add in some sugar plum grape tomatoes and take them with me for snacking on. For lunch, it doe some lean protein like chicken or fish (usually left over from the previous nights dinner). some salad or cooked veggies and similar for dinner. Sometimes I also replace a lunch or dinner with a 2nd NutriBlast but always add some nuts to that one for the protein. Each NutriBlast comes out between 320 and 420 calories depending on which fruits and veggies I throw in.
I also try to walk 2 miles daily - although I have had a compression fracture in my lower back and bulged disc which makes this difficult some times.
Good luck and enjoy your Green Smoothies.0 -
My husband bought a nutribullet and I have hated HATED the taste of everything he's made thus far. However, I've learned that we can teach ourselves new things, so I'm forcing myself.0

I bought a Magic Bullet bleander at Costco for $29 on sale. Using it to make my protein shakes and absolutely love it. It came with a zillion cups and two different blades. I recommend it!0

I already have a magic bullet so my question is
Does the Nutribullet Extractor Blade work with the magic bullet base or would i have to buy the whole Nutribullet system?0 -
I have it - got it last weekend and I LOVE IT!! It absolutely pulverizes whatever you put in there, is quiet and efficient! I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. I have trouble getting in healthy leafy greens and I have had a spinach, banana, blueberry, almond "NutriBlast" every morning for around 200 calories and am loving it! Highly recommended!0

Any recipe suggestions? I got one the other day and am having a hard time with it I guess. 2 out of the 3 I've made so far have been way too thick. One was basically like pudding, and not very good at all. Do you skin and pit/core all the fruit that you use?0
-
I just got one today, and after making my first nutriblast I can see this will be a trial and error experience. But I have high hopes. It does pulverize pretty well.0

I bought a magic bullet about 3 years ago and wore it out making a smoothie a day in about 9 months. I didnt buy another one. I just use my blender and it has kept working for years. I would not recommend the magic bullet. But that doesn't answer the original question anyway.0 -
My early on impressions: I need a banana in nearly every drink. That adds so much. Kale is ok, in moderation. 50/50 with spinach is tolerable. Avocado was awful and made it more like a paste than a juice. Fresh ingredients are massively important. Variety is key.0
-
I wish you luck with the bullet. I am with the one member who said "NINJA 1200" - This is absolutely Fantastic! Does what the Bullet does but better! I have the Ninja Pro - but am actually looking at the newest model which sort of reminds me as a powerful Kitchen Aid - it supposedly does dough too. Well GOOD LUCK.0

I added a half-scoop of vanilla protein powder to mine this morning. It was a fantastic addition! Kale, spinach, cantaloupe, blueberries, banana, flax seed, and vanilla protein powder.0

I'm going to try that this a.m. Sounds delicious!0

There is a difference between the MajicBullet and the NurtiBullet. One is that the MajicBullet is 300rpm's NutriBullet is 600rpm.
I've had mine for a few days now and with the fruit, I think they taste pretty good. Half a Banana, some berries. My first one was too thick. The next, I just added more water. worked well.0 -
I just switched to a Nutri Bullet from an Omega Vert Juicer. I adored the juicer, and the juices were super delicious, but I got to thinking about all that lost fiber - and also got tired of the number of parts and cleaning all of them.
Anyway, the first recipe I tried with the NB was an anti-inflammatory one with avocado and papaya. It was disgusting! It would have made a better facial mask than a food! (Hmm, I might have to try making a mask in the NB!) It was so thick and tasted just awful.
However, today I did one with banana, spinach, green apple, lemon juice, and water, and it is pretty good. Since it keeps the fibrous material, I guess it will be thicker unless a liquid is added. I just added water until I liked the consistency.
Life is too short to have to drink a disgusting concoction, so play around and find what you like. From my experience with the first recipe they provided in the book, I do not think these are taste tested!
Anyone care to share any recipes from the book that they liked? I'd love to know.0 -
I don't go off of the book recipes at all. I just throw in spinach (most of the time) and a couple of different fruits, along with the water. Pineapple & banana is great together. Blueberries work very well too.0

I have one and love it makes awesome stuff and kills frozen fruit and ice with ease....i dont use any of the book recipes tho just make protein shakes with it but i love it so much0

So I was thinking getting the NutriBullet as well...I have the Ninja Kitchen Pulse which I use almost everyday for Protien Shakes and also the Omega VRT350 juicer as well. But this thing looks like it would make a good juicer alternative. Would the NutriBullet be a good purchase over the Ninja Kitchen Pulse?
This thing looks like it pulverizes everything into a liquid...just curious thanks : )0 -
We have it and love it! It's not a "juicer", it keeps all the fiber so it's more filling plus the fiber is so good for you. We use fresh baby spinach as the base (about 1/2) then add frozen banana, strawberries, blueberries, mixed frozen fruit, fresh apples, grapes, whatever you have. We also pulverize walnuts, almonds, flax seeds, or whatever you like. Add protein powder if you like. We add baby carrots, celery, brocoli, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, whatever. Do use small amounts as carrots, broc, celery, etc have strong tastes and you don't want to overpower because it will not taste as good. You have to add liquid to the fill line.... mine husband likes water but I like to use Lipton diet green tea in mine..... it gives it a sweeter flavor. Experiment with what you like. p.s. making a little thicker drink is more filling0

I'm often skeptical about products advertised through infomercials, but the Nutribullet blender is definitely an exception. I use mine every morning to incorporate green veggies into my morning smoothies. I've had mine for over two months now and find that I just don't feel right unless I've made a smoothie using this wonderful machine. I now find myself lost in produce sections at grocery stores exploring new ideas for produce to incorporate in the smoothies I make in the morning. WIth the exception of beets every item of produce I've tried works well in the blender.0

do you see a difference in the nutribullet and good blender?0

Yes - I have been using the NutriBullet for a few months now and have lost 30 lbs since I started
I hit the farmer's market every other weekend and wash and store my fruits and veggies and dring a Green Smoothie every morning - sometimes have one for lunch or dinner too! Keeps the simple carb cravings down - don't desire bread and sweets anymore!!!! Eat lean protein about 6 oz daily. Very happy with it. Bear in mind this is NOT a juicer it makes smoothies with fruits and veggies and keeps all the healthy nuitrients fiber so you're not hungry!
I've had the NutriBullet for the last 3 months, and it was literally a life changing experience. I grew up never being forced to eat breakfast by my parents, and thus, continued that way because I preferred to sleep a little longer than wake up earlier to eat something. In the last 3 days, I've gone no more than 2 days without having one, and let me tell you - when I don't have one, I feel like my digestive system works much more slowly and I'm more bloated than I normally am. I don't particularly follow the suggested nutriblast recipes, but here is how it works for me:
Green Superfood Base:
- 1 to 1.5 cups of Dino Kale
- t tbsp. flaxseed or flaxseed meal
- 1 tbsp. chia seeds
- 1/4 scoop of whey protein
- 1/3 to 1/4 of a banana (depending on the size of the banana)
- 3 oz. of other fruit
I mix up the fruit depending on what's in season or what I feel like having for that morning. I found that the more I had these every morning, the less amount of banana I had to have in it. I just got used to it. At this point, it's just fuel and a necessity for my bodily functions - I basically hate to go without it every morning (this mentality is what's helped me to achieve a healthier lifestyle).
And, YES, it really does break down the kale. And, NO, it is NOT a juicer so it has more of a smoothie consistency - POSITIVES being that you get to consume all the fiber in a closer-to-liquid form (which, as we all know, is the quickest way for our body to absorb anything). The only other blender on the market that can do this kind of blending is the VitaMix, which also has a pretty price tag of $500.
Anyway, I'm glad there are others on here that use the NutriBullet! I bought mine at Bed Bath & Beyond and used a 20% off coupon, so I got it for $80. Around here, they take their expired coupons too .0 -
I've been using it for about 3 months. Has worked wonders for us! Love it! We have a "Nutriblast" every morning. My kids get all their necessary nutrients in one glass and I don't have to worry about what they eat or don't eat at school. If you buy it, USE IT!... You won't be sorry.0
-
I have the Nutribullet and I must say I have hardly missed a day of having a nutriblast for breakfastand sometimes dinner. I've had it for months and coupled with a daily walk, it has sped up my weightloss. It's curbed my carb cravings and I've even cut back on the amount of fruit I use. If you'd like a protein alternative...try beans. I like the taste and texture of the black beans the best. I just rinse the canned organic ones.0

Well I was trying to choose between the nutribullet and the ninja 1500 mega kitchen system (with the single use cup).
At first went with the nutribullet. Large single serving cup. Worked well. No complaints really. Made shakes easily. Blended stuff well.
Then, I bought too many veggies, and wanted to puree them all up and freeze some for future use.
Returned the nutribullet. I could power a whole bunch of veggies pretty quick. But it did leave a few pieces not chopped up nicely - which didnt happen with the nutribullet. My thought is the square container and circular chopping will leave something behind.
Tons of power though.
And the single serving of the ninja is much smaller than the large container in the nutribullet.
Maybe I need both. Or just some way of attaching the nutribullet cup to the ninja blender.0
