    I taught myself to play keyboard by ear. Clarinet and drums in band I wish I still played!

    lol -I played the recorder- but i just didnt like the attention. I wanted a humble life.

    I used to play the piano, but I am best at playing a CD! :laugh:

    I was always more into sports than music, much to my mother's disappointment.

    I used to play the violin and clarinet in elementary school haha! I switched to oboe for half a year, but the instrument that I rented was broke, so when it was the oboe solo (because apparently not many people liked the oboe back in junior high, but every composure looooooved it, I was the only oboist in band) I'd always squeak. After that I dropped out of the music industry completely save for singing in the car or tapping the table like a drum with my hands when I'm drunk.

    Bass guitar is my main instrument, but I can play anything with strings. But verified to play no problem... Guitar, Cello, Piano, and violin.

    I played the flute in school band, made honors band & state. (nerd)
    for fun I would play my friend's alto sax & clarinet. if they were absent from school I would take their instrument and sit in their seat. drove my band director crazy. (again nerd)
    I taught myself to play piano and organ.
    for mother's day this year, my kids & husband bought me a Fender guitar & lessons. I haven't taken any lessons yet, but I need to soon. I pick it up and play with it, but just no "songs" yet.

    Alto sax from 6 th grade to sophomore in college. I still have my horn and now my son is playing alto sax in high school band.

    Clarinet is the instrument was professional trained on and played throughout middle and high school and I still play ocassionaly in the church orchestra. I taught myself to play saxophone and flute as well when my siblings got into band.

    I started learning the piano when I was 10. When I was 12 I wanted to learn to play Dueling Banjos, so I saved up my allowance and bought a banjo. My mom bought me a new banjo for my 40th birthday. She said she thought I was at my happiest when I was playing that. I love my mom.

    I want to learn cello! Alejandro Escovedo's celloist is awesome and makes me wanna play every time I see him. My son bought a bass off his friend, but hasn't touched it, so I think I might have to teach myself to play it. Just so it doesn't sit around gathering dust. :smile:
